Shiv Chanderpaul who recently said he will continue to play for as long as possible has revealed to the cricket world that his minimum goal for his test career is scoring 13500 runs and his maximum goal is scoring 16000 runs.

CHECK THIS:

* Shiv's minimum goal of 13500 test runs will ensure that he ends his career as the 2nd highest test scorer---ahead of Ponting, Kallis, Dravid, etc

* Shiv's maximum goal if achieved would ensure that he ends his career as the highest runs scorer in tests---he'll overtake the prolific Tendulkar..

15921 Tendulkar
13378 Ponting
13289 Kallis
13288 Dravid
11988 Sangakkara
11953 Lara
11684 Chanderpaul

A goal without a plan is just a wish. Shiv is not the kind of man who engages in mindless hoping and wishing like the LOSERS who hate him. Shiv has a solid plan to achieve his cricket goals---13500 minimum; 16000 maximum.

GIVE PRAISE TO THE TIGER :)

for him to pass 10D, he will have to bat out of his skin! U think at the pace he bats, the WICB (even with Big Pu$$y by his side) will keep in the team that long? :D

I don't think so!

Shiv has played 57 tests in the 8 years since Lara retired. He has scored 4948 runs at an amazing average of 71.71 with 16 hundreds and 25 fifties. Those are great numbers folks, but shockingly the only thing the haters see is NOT OUTS. They don't see the 71.71 average.

* You see what is in your mind.

* If HATE is in your mind you will not see that 71.71 Shiv average the past 8 years.

By the way, Shiv must never retire from test cricket until he is in the Top 2. That means he must at least achieve his minimum goal of 13500 test runs.

15921 Tendulkar(1)
13500* Chanderpaul(2)

* That is how the record books must read forever---Tendulkar 1; Shiv 2

CHECK THIS:

55.69 Chanderpaul's First Class Average
53.10 Chanderpaul's Test Average

OBSERVATION:

* Shiv still has some work to do.

* He has to raise his test average(53.10) to be on par or to exceed his first class average(55.69).

* A FEW BIG NOT OUTS WILL DO THE TRICK.

I am intrigued by the mathematics of cricket. I find obscure stats that 99.9% of cricket fans are not aware of to be fun and interesting.

HERE'S AN EXAMPLE OF AN OBSCURE STAT:

* There are 4 innings in a test match, right ?

* You have innings #1, Innings #2, innings #3, and innings #4

QUESTION:

In the history of test cricket which batsmen have had the highest batting average in innings #1 ?

* Like I said, 99.9% of cricket fans have never seen that question ?

* Well, the Rev is a weirdo :) and I have just asked the question.

* And when you ask an interesting question you get an interesting answer. :D

HERE ARE THE BATSMEN WITH THE HIGHEST BATTING AVERAGE IN INNINGS #1:
113.66 Bradman
82.44 Ponsford
78.80 Hassett
76.59 Weekes
71.30 Chanderpaul---you folks recognize him ? :D
70.17 Lara---recognize this great ?
70.12 Barrington

* You see that folks? The joy of numbers. Did you learn something new ? :D

* Listen! The Rev posts will absolutely bore 99% of cricket fans. But that's cool. They can skip my threads.
