So the team is...

Brathwaite
Fudadin
Edwards
Fletcher
Blackwood
Walton (wk)
Carlos Brathwaite (c)
Miller
Shillingford
Cotterrell
Gabriel

Honestly i still can't understand why them idiots didn't pick a proper opener to partner Kraigg...why all the damn shoe-horning players into positions like they did with Johnson in the tests?

Anyway it had better be a road because SL are 162/1 ..mike where is your crush killa when we need him?

Yeah, right...typical for a Jamaica-hater - blame Miller for this absolutely sorry display by the entire WI A team.
SL A 413 all out on yet another good SL batting track...Shilly gets 5-160 to show that, once again, he's the best reserve team bowler. Two wickets each for Miller and Gabriel, which is okay, and keeps them in the side. Wicketless for Cottrell, and only one for Carlos...that just ain't good enough.

But the batsmen were absolutely appalling!

Fudadin topscores with 32, and Kraigg can only manage 24...failures by Kirk, Blackwood, Fletcher and Carlos. Let's see if Walton can save us from embarrassment.

Walton topscores with 50...the best of a bad bunch of batsmen, who were bowled out for a paltry 160, and then asked to follow on.

What will Afro's hero Kraigg do in the second innings? Not much...out for two.

LOL too many YARDIES in di team old boy!!!..the same yardies who have been outperformed by Bim over the last few years..and you wonder why we struggling? Miller FAILED once again, everytime he needs someone to hold his hand and is getting outperformed. Nurse outdid him in India while Permy had a better average too...now a Shilly who is clearly a SHADOW of his former self has even done better than "Killa"? :? shameful!!!...once a shithound always a shithound old boy!!.

As for the batting..Kraigg has let himself down yes but he's not superman..it's better this happens now and NOT in the real test series.

46/2 in the second innings now...can't afford to lose more than two more wickets today!! now it's a matter of playing out time...get to tomorrow only 4 down then with six wickets we might be able to take things to close to tea tomorrow and then who knows what can happen? whatever the case it's been a piss poor performance and they will have to get their act together in the next two games..

It's also worth noting that only TWO of this SL team have not played for the Sri-lanka senior team (Ganage and Fernando who are bowlers) and the eight who have have played recently for either the test side, ODI's or T20s....so it's not easy by any stretch of the imagination.

Next game i expect Ambris and Cummings to come in...for who remains to be seen. But imo Shacoya Thomas or Elvin Lewis should be partnering Kraigg at the top after the seasons they had..or even give Powell a few games to rebuild his confidence after the time out he's had.

Oh, come now...two wickets in an innings is not a failure by any stretch of the imagination...it's a par performance. A failure is Carlos only getting one wicket, and Cottrell going wicketless. You can't go on expecting spinners to take up the slack for underperforming pacers time and time again.
Shilly has done better than everybody, not just Miller....He has once again shown that he's the best of the A team bowlers, even after being called for pelting, and even after remodelling his action. So, there's hope for Narine yet!

Kraigg's poor form in this Test is worrying...as for Fudadin, out for 11, it makes you wonder why he's even on this tour.

TWO wickets is "avarage" now? BWAHAHAHAHAHA only for your YARDIE you biased skunt!!   ..for someone of his experience and age HE FAILED..the other SL spinner got 6FER...so therefore out of all the spinners of show killa was the only one to flop..hopefully that shithound gets replaced by Bishoo next game 8-)

I am yet to understand this obsession with Fletcher!

Does Fudadin open for Guyana.

I quite like him when I have seen him play for the Windies as he has shown determination. After 3 Tests he returned a credible 31 so why has he not had a further run?

Yes on some occasions he did open for Guyana Mail!!..but it's clear his best position is four or five. But in the caribbean these coaches like to be fecking one dimensional!! ..we saw it in the ODI the other day. keep the "same team" even though it's not logical. Fuda did do ok for WI but he's had some dodgy seasons for Guyana which has set him back.

As for Fletcher..well he did look like he'd improved over the last few months but perhaps that assumption was in vain!!..like i said i suspect Ambris will be playing next game for sure.
