I actually think that would be a good idea, Bonner hasn't bowled much in this series so he could partner Permaul in the spin department with his leg-breaks while Mcclean can be first change after Johnson and Holder are done with their spells.

It really dosen't matter to me one way or the other...I am nat dat of an insular person like you regarding yuh COTR and I cannot defend Bishoo's performance to date!!!

Kraig
Powell
Assad
Carter
Pagon
Thomas
Permaul
Bonner
Holder
johnson

tuff side! lots of batting..assad can bowl so thats 5 bowlers

and of course if they want to strenghten the bowling they can drop Bonner altogether and bring in a pure bowler at #9...preferrably one who can hold a bat straight

where is Carlos Braithwaite..still in england?
or even give Simon Badree a chance finally..or Kantasingh

what you have against Bonner? :? di yute has scored more runs than Pagon in this series and has been one of the few batsmen to consistently get starts, so imo he deserves his place in the top order, i told you already that the boy got a TON in the last A-team series, so he's no fool with the bat.

As for Carlos Brathwaite, he's preparing to go to the HPC, while Kantasingh is a left-arm spinner like Permaul so that wouldn't work.

stop accusing me of ulteriors relative to Bonner. I know the ton Bonner scored you keep talking about. its just dat..1 ton

I see he keeps getting starts..but he does not go on.

ok so yuh pulling ah Powell with Bonner..he keeps getting starts so persist with him as a batsman.

dats not how I see it. at some point deh both will have to justify the batting issue and soon enuff... or its a waste of precious time.

if they cannot go on after starts, there is a flaw in their make-up. where do you want them to work it out...in the representative team or in first class club cricket?

and as Bonner came in as a bowling all-rounder who could bat well..that may be his real game.

I am totally not a fan of changing by coaching and administrative decison any damm thing about a player. let him flow as he came up and water will find its level, flow where it will. comfort levels must be maintained and all will unfold as it should.

they have screwed too much with Bonner and Kyle Corbin.

Bonner looks like a tuff nut so he has battled with more success than Corbin with their intrusive changes. Corbin cant see his way as a pure batsman..it isnt working out well for him at all at all. there will always be that doubt about what could have been had Corbin been left as keeper/batsman :? :x :x :x :x

the coaching manuals as far as I know say to leave the players be, to play their natural games. DONT INTERFERE AT ALL..DOH CHANGE NUTTEN ARBITRARILY. :x :x :x :x :x :x

I have nutten against Bonner..make him play. but I would drop him down the order and make him bowl the damm ball :o :o :o

down the order bowling the ball Bonner would be free to work himself up the order by performance.

there would be no demand on him to bat. if he could he would score with no pressure and in time he would arrive where he can just like that.

that is how we got the greatest all-rounder of all time gary Sobers, who was pik as a left-arm spinner down the freakin order.

he was never looked at as a batsman. but his batting ability was seen. he was allowed to flow as the team could use doing everything. they even made him open in 1957 in england when there were no other option.

but at no time was sobers asked to be a batsman purely. he was simply left to do his thing and we got it all in time!

that is the basis on which I assess Bonner. drop him down the order and take the presshah off. then let him play his damm natural game and see where where it leads :x :x :x :x

The problem is maps with you being in canada you don't actually get to WATCH these yutes with your own eyes to make a proper judgement!! , the yute has been batting high in the order since his youth days, and has even batted in the top five for the HPC, CCC and JAMAICA, SO THAT'S THE POSITIONS HE'S USED TO, his batting is good and his bowling is good, he doesn't have to choose one or the other,

I mention his ton because IT WAS ONLY ONE OR TWO TONS IN THAT SERIES, against a Bangladesh side who has their TEST SPINNERS in the team, so the yute fought hard for that knock, as far as i'm concerned the more he plays the better he will get and soon enough he will start making them starts count, no need to put pressure on the yute yet.

Ok! I tend to trust your judgement as long as you not pulling fast COTRs...

I like Bonner..love his skill set from the start. where i think Powell has nothing to offer I believe Bonner does.

so I will leave yu win in this one. you are there..so advantage!

mek we see wat develops :D
