Re: THE WI AND REGIONAL U19 THREAD!!But anyway back to the point in hand, i've been told by someone who is part of the whole youth cricket program that this competition was the best they had seen in terms of quality, and that person has been involved for over twelve years now!!
I mean even going back a few years when Kraigg was playing u19s you'd usually see three or four tons scored at most, and Kraigg was obviously one of them, also the spinners (like Amir Khan for example) would dominate everything, if a pacer got three wickets in an innings it was big news to rhatid!! I honestly think this group may have the potential to be better than the current u19s at the world cup right now who are beating all before them, and thats mainly because i think this group's batting may well have more depth to it, i guess we'll see in two years time when it's their turn to go to the world cup. Re: THE WI AND REGIONAL U19 THREAD!!
Yep, thats a big statement that and just personfies the confidence that is running through the camp right now, but to be honest whether we bat first or not it doesn't matter, we get 220 or above then in most cases it's pretty much game over, this team hasn't won nine in a row for nothing!!
Re: THE WI AND REGIONAL U19 THREAD!!Well, no it's onto the u19s regional one day competition to i'm gonna use this post to do updates on individual performances, firstly Shai Hope just keeps getting tons to rhatid as he's just got one against ICC Americas!!.. brilliant stuff from the yute, also Trini's wicket-keeper (Pooran) has helped himself to a ton too!!, he got a 90 odd in the three day competition so clearly the kid can bat,
Batters Hope= 1 ton Pooran= 1 ton Hetmeyer= 1 ton Hemraj= 1ton Gayle= 1ton Pacers Shepherd= 2 4fer Johnson= 1 4fer Last edited by AFRO on Mon Aug 27, 2012 9:47 pm, edited 4 times in total.

Re: THE WI AND REGIONAL U19 THREAD!!Well in the latest round Hemraj of Guyana and Brian Gayle of Jamaica got tons to help their respective teams to victory, the two spinners Motie and Perriera both got wickets too, meanwhile Mcsween and Jordan, the two winwards pacers helped their team to victory aswell,
Honestly i've never seen a youth season produce so many TONS!! But yeah i've been really impressed with this latest crop, the Guyana spin twins Motie and Perriera, the pacers like Greenidge and Mcsween, and the large group of batters lead by Hope and Solanzo, they are gonna be a major force at the next u19 world cup, i have absolutely no doubts about it.
Re: THE WI AND REGIONAL U19 THREAD!!Well in the sixth round of this u19 one day competition there wasn't any tons but a few pacers did step up, the Guyana yute Romario shephard continues to impress and got his second 4fer of the competition, he got his fair share of wickets in the three day competition aswell so clearly he's doing very well right now, also Jamaican seamer Kijana Johnson managed to grab his first 4fer too, while Mcsween got another three wicket hall for himself,
In the batting department Hope once again showed his class, he got himself a 74 to go with a 50 in the last round and a ton before that, Winwards opener Keon George also got himself a 74, Lastly big up to the Bim leggy Arron Jones who got an astonishing 6/14 against Winwards
Re: THE WI AND REGIONAL U19 THREAD!!T. Chanderpaul score a half century but ignored by posters!
