The West Indies’ decision to base themselves in Australia for an extended period prior to the start of the ICC U19 Cricket World Cup 2012 provided an immediate outcome on Sunday, with an impressive four wickets victory over India in a Group C fixture before the ESPN STAR Sports’ cameras at Tony Ireland Stadium in Townsville, Queensland.

Not sure why this is classed as an upset unless it is because India are 2 time champs.

But the fact is that the U19 teams will change from competition to competition.

And India's previous wins were in Sri Lanka and Malaysia. India never win when it was in Oz, NZ, or SA.

Anyway mek WI stay as underdogs.

I think they are talking about their previous form, India have won three competitions of late and hadn't lost in a while before we beat them, infact this win was the first we've got against their u19s since the 80s, so we gotta big up di yutes dem imo :mrgreen: .

It's jusy brilliant to see them do so well, first the A-team murdered the India A-team and now our u19s have beaten them aswell, it bodes well for the future.
