OUTSTANDING Trinidad and Tobago offspinner Amit Jaggernauth has decided to retire from First Class cricket effective immediately.

Poor Jaggs...he only got one Test. He became one of the victims of the WICB obsession with fitness, i.e. athletes who could run laps but can't play cricket given precedence over bulky players who are better players. He seemed to lose interest in cricket after being unceremoniously dropped, and his returns suggested that. After all, he's only 30, which, for a spinner, is his prime.

But he's moved on to what he feels are better things....
