On the final day of the World Indoor Champs, Jamaica's Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce won the women's 60m in a world-leading 6.98, to finish ahead of Muriel Ahoure of the Ivory Coast (7.01) and American Tianna Madison-Bartoletta (7.06), while Britain's Asha Philip was fourth, and another Jamaican, Veronica Campbell-Brown, fifth.

The mile relays were both won by the US. They clocked 3:24.83 to win the women's 4x400m relay, with silver going to Jamaica (3:26.54), and third to Britain (3:27.90), while the Americans took gold in the men's with 3:02.13, followed by Britain (3:03.49), and Jamaica (3:03.69).

Final medal tally

1) USA - 8 gold, 2 silver, 2 bronze

2) Russia - 3 gold, 2 silver

3) Ethiopia - 2 gold, 2 silver, 1 bronze

4) GB - 1 gold, 2 silver, 3 bronze

5) Jamaica - 1 gold, 2 silver, 2 bronze
