However, the Eagles managed to claw their way back into the match by thus far restricting the Academy team to 96-4, compliments of Kevin Sinclair. Under pressure for early wickets, Kevin Sinclair spun Harpy Eagles back into the contest with 4-32 from nine overs, as Eagles still hold a 79-run lead over the Academy. Rashawn Worrell is leading Academy’s resistance with an unbeaten 34 from 75 balls, while Joshua Bishop is on 33 from 42 balls. The Harpy Eagles would rue not making the most of their first innings due to soft dismissals. In their previous match against the Leeward Islands Hurricanes, in which they lost by 273 runs, Harpy Eagles failed to reach the 200 mark in both the first and second innings. It was another series of starts for Harpy Eagles, but none of the batters took off to convert into a notable score. Ronaldo Alimohamed continued his decent form with a top score of 30 not out, while Matthew Nandu (28), Kevin Sinclair (24), and Tevin Imlach (24) all did the hard work early and then failed to carry on. Impressive pacer Joshua James rocked the Harpy Eagles with 4-43 from 13.3 overs while Johann Layne (2-27), Joshua Bishop (2-31), Ashmead Nedd (1-22) and Kelvin Pitman (1-46) were among the wickets as well. The defending champions are in the penultimate position on the points table.
