After more than a year of strained relations between the Minister of Sport Anil Roberts and president of the Trinidad and Tobago Cricket Board (T&TCB) Azim Bassarath, it took the victory by the Trinidad and Tobago cricket team in the 2012 Caribbean T20 Championships to bring the two parties together on Monday night.

Trinidad and Tobago Cricket Board (TTCB) president Azim Bassarath called for a truce in the war of words between his administration and Minister of Sport Anil Roberts as both men greeted the T&T squad yesterday when they returned home from a successful Caribbean Twenty20 campaign.
