Chris Woakes hit an unbeaten 104 to rescue the Lions, and take them to 340-9, while Ben Stokes chipped in with 63. So far, there has been two wickets each for slinging pacer Sheldon Cotterell and dibbly-dobbler Danza Hyatt, while Jason Dawes, Tamar Lambert, Andre Dwyer and Bevon Brown have all taken one wicket each.

Replying to 358 all out by the Lions, Jamaica reached 259-4 at the halfway stage, with Simon Jackson making 60, Danza Hyatt 59, and Marlon samuels 58. Tamar Lambert was out for just eight, but Brendan Nash was still there on 56, and with him is Wavell HInds on five. Danny Briggs has taken two wickets so far, and there's one each for Woakes and Buck. Left-arm slingy pacer Sheldon Cotterell took 3-80 for Jamaica.
At the end of the Day One in the other three matches, there were contrasting positions. Twenty-two wickets fell in Barbados, where the Bajans were dismissed for just 90, Jason Haynes topscoring with 49 against spinner Kavesh Kantasingh, who took 7-22. In reply, the CCC only did marginally better, making 113 all out, Nkrumah Bonner and Carlos Brathwaite making 20s, against Ryan Hinds and Jason Holder, who took four and three wickets each. At stumps, Barbados were 17-2, having lost Haynes for a duck and Brooks for two. Kraigg Brathwaite was the not out batsman.
Trinidad were in a strong position against Guyana, having reached 291-4 at the close, thanks to an unbeaten 134 from Lendl Simmons. Denesh Ramdin was with him on 32 not out, while Jason Mohammed made 67.
In their rain-affected match, the Leewards were reduced to 62-5 by the Windwards. Kenroy Peters has taken 2-12 so far, while Mervin Matthew, Liam Sebastien and Gary Mathurin have taken one wicket each. Jason Peters and Jacques Taylor are the not out batsmen.
So far, those four teams are looking like Jamaica, Trinidad, CCC and possibly the Windwards....
