!) as far as he is concerned we must not talk about race as it is westindian and as it afects westindies cricket.

2) we must not have a case against the incluision of Nash in the westindies no matter how solidly based in experienc and fact it is. any sich case is prejudice and thats that. over the years I have built a case agaun nash rooted in westindian experience and for that it deserves a loock for the facts it is based on.

3) I was accused of being unjust about Obama, that he is a fine blac man, achieved the highest job in the world, i a credit and a model to blac people and that I have done nothing comparable. in the mix I had to give my defemse and to demonstrate the dangerous foolishness we are confronted with by AFRO in the narow-ness of his conceptions

4) by way of legitimising my appraoch let me give here an accepted impression of westindian attitudes to cricket by setting out a bibliography, that obviously discusees westrindian cricket like I do, putting my approach well within the mainstream, rendering the AFOS critique more in line with Chris Rocks critigue of Black burglary in the ghetto, by advising homeowners to put their money in their books...that the burglars are certain not to look in the books.

the clear impression and critique is of the general black atitude to intellectualism and and desire to keep things fantastic and simple. contrary to the way life is. when I am done please allyuh tell me how out of line my approach is
Another load of GARBAGE coupled with feeble attempts to put words in my mouth!!.. WHAT A SURPRISE!! , quite frankly this man is a blank , plain and simple, he started bawling ever since i stook up for Nash and said WHAT HE DOES ON THE PITCH IS THE MOST IMPORTANT THING, NOT HIS SKIN COLOUR, but he just can't seem to let it go and every time he posts something he goes off on a tangant and tries to preach his foolish crap, like he's "Malcomb X" reincarnated, it's a damn joke to be honest and only brings this forum down.

Looks like there is a need for a private forum called "take it outside" or something like that, and only members can read. Topics that fit this category will go there if we can't have a good gyaff here. Let me think it through...

I suggest you two let it go and start afresh ..

I think there is much about it that is useful.

BallOil wrote:ok...got ya on Gayle. Do you want to elaborate on Shiv? What is your take on Lara as a leader, since Lara came back after Shiv?

the basic divide in westindies cricket is one of class. that is the problem. the elite class is necesrily a minority class and their domination is based on the exploitation of the majority of the people whose labour as the original form of wealth they steal.

that is what their power is based on...the exploitation of the majority.

such exploitation is achived principally by dividing the majority on all manner of issues and social struture. social struture s class and force..issues are race-racism, gender, class of labour.

all these keep the ordinary majority focused on itself in interneccine conflict rather than on the fundamental social divisve, the exploitation of the mass, majority, ordinary people..whatever you call us...by the elite class.

and all ordinary folk who allow themselves to be used by he elite against the interest of the majority in any particular case are acting ultimately against their own best interest...as is clearly the case with shive now.

shive played with the wicb, divided the players, became captain of a scab team, facilitated elitist ends not player ends. Shive weakened the players of which he is one and strengthened the wicb.

currently that very same wicb shows shive no mercy or consideration due to his status as a senior player, disrepects him and is seeking to get rid of him all entitrely. and he must now depend for his protection, on the very institution he weakened previously, to protect his interests... the players union

shive may have been a dunce, knew nothing about westindian history and labour relations and the theory or world view on which it is based.

maybe he had no idea of class realtions, what they are, how they relate to the economy and everyday social relations.

maybe shive could not understand the critique of his actions by those who opposed and later criticised his decison to become scabco....which he may have seen purely as self interest and whatever loyalty he had to chetram singh, his mentor and the wicbs point man in that issue.

but I doubt all dat. by that time Shive was well aware fo what he was doing and took his chance. he took the wrong chance and now just as Gayle has no case against a
sammy captaincy shive will have to eat much of any negative that flows his way from FR.

how is Gayle going to criticise the selection of Sammy as captain when he himself brought 9 yardies into the westindies side at the expense of a whole lot of more worthy players?

I suggested that the seniours come out with their greivances against Sammy, Gibbo and the wicb. but I was wrong. only Sarwan has anything of a reasonable case, but he too is compromised by his behaviour at points on the way through to now, and over the past year to 18 months.

it is not practical to drop the seniors. we have no better players and we must afford them due consideration. but they have done their best to tie up the hands and feet of their supporters these seniors have...now that I lok at it deeper!

Lara, like Sobers was a fine captain of a powerful team. he was not a good leader of a wekened team it now appears to me.

Lara as a team player, a player for the players, collective player interests and the players union is beyond reproach. there is no way lara could have been used by the wicb against player interests..to divide and rule

at the end lara suffered from back-stabbing and Yardie rebellion. Lara was no saint and did in his time the same thing to walsh, hoops, possibly to richardson

Lara also would not have played stupid insular games like gayle did, packing up the side with trinnys similarly.

Lara was not perfect but I would prefer him to any of those who followed him and to players like hoops and richardson and jimmy adams. I like adams except for his morph into namby pamby leader from a strong and radical yardie youth.

that was a stunning and most ridiculous and pointless transformation that cost Adams and the westindies a fine personality. i would like to know how that took place...I really would!
