Bishoo didn't take any wickets in the 2nd innings, but he took the most wickets in the first innings(4/48) and his 48 run last wicket partnership with Shiv was pivotal.
When Bishoo walked to the wicket in the 2nd innings to join Shiv the WI score was 104-9....the West Indies had a lead of 170
BISHOO AND SHIV ADDED 48 RUNS
Pakistan ended up losing the test by 40 runs.
That 48 runs partnership between Bishoo and Shiv was pivotal.
We all agree that Bishoo has a lot to learn---but his 4 wicket haul in the first innings and his 39 runs with the bat in the match and his 48 run partnership with Shiv played a vital role in WI's victory.
By the way, Darren Sammy was most deserving of Man of the Match honors.
LONG LIVE BISHOO!!!!

Shiv would never get any praise from some of the jackasses who follow WI cricket.Westdem wrote:Thats de partnership dat win dis game....and de underlining factor of it all...Shiv would nat get any credit fuh maximizing scoring and and SLOG and out....De Tiger with his BRAINS WON dis match fuh de WI....
And by the way, if Shiv had played in the onedayers the West Indies would have won that series.
Anyway, the Providence win was a great team effort.
When is the last time a WI bowling attack limited the opposition to two scores below 200 ?
Excellent bowling by Rampaul, Bishoo and Sammy in this test---Kemar Roach had a poor test---but should be persisted with unless he is injured.

This was a good team effort win,, its not what any individual did, collectively they played as a team and win as a team. D. Smith got bashed by everyone but he was important in this win also takeing that brilliant catch at third slip, not too many players would of made a catch like that. So kudos to the team and we move on to the next match.

But some partnerships and some individual performances deserve to be highlighted.

Especially when some jokers were calling on Shiv to be dropped....The Black Prince wrote:It was undoubtedly a TEAM effort and a team win.Rogerp wrote:This was a good team effort win,, its not what any individual did, collectively they played as a team and win as a team. from your theory on can also conclude that Simmons' runs and DEVON'S catch won the game....steupssss..
fact is, a TEAM performance won the game!....sheeshhhhhh

You are chatting hogwash regarding Shiv's approach at Providence.jala wrote:look bro, dat is HOGWASH!.....U again trying to big up dat SELFISH cricketer!...I was there!!!!...dat display by shiv was pathetic!....it had almost everything to do with Bishoo's dexterity and not shiv "ability"...

There is no question Shiv is a selfish batsman---you dont achieve distinction in your profession without being selfish.
My beef with Shiv is he should have been more selfish and try to score at least a fifty in the Providence test---that would have brought his tally of fifties in the Caribbean up to 27----most by any WI batsman----right now he is tied with Lara on 26.
Anyway, you can't argue with the result---THE WEST INDIES WON----it was a team effort.
AND THAT 48 RUNS PARTNERSHIP BETWEEN SHIV AND BISHOO WAS PIVOTAL.
By the way, selfish Shiv is currently ranked #7 on the ICC ratings----hope he improves on his ranking in this series.
