Anyway back to the topic in hand, i've been missing of late because we're absolutely garbage at ODi's so there's no point even trying to debate over it.. what would be your test team now guys?

Unless Roach gets his act together in these next two Odi's i'd leave him out now, at the end of the kid is there to get wickets and that's just not happening right now, so might aswell give Pascal a chance, Simmons getting dropped would be harsh but we saw this in the last series didn't we? he done well in the Odi's but flopped in the Tests so i'd bring back Barath if he's fit enough.

Given that Gayle's not playing in the final ODI, I don't think he'll be in the first Test, so if Barath is fit enough, I think he will partner Simmons at the top of the order. And given taht this is a stupid time to be playing Test cricket agianst India, there's no cricket currently going on to keep players like Pascal fit, so I would stick with either Roach or Edwards for that final fast-bowling place.

Simmons not an automatic selection? On present form I don't see how both Chanderpaul and Sarwan can be automatic selections. No place for Nash? Interesting that you persist with Samuels. I too would stick with either Roach or Edwards to partner Rampaul ahead of Pascal.

it wud be better if only5 batsmen are picked and edwards the fast bowler included.

Edwrads, rampaul and roach shud be quite a handful for the Indians, along with Bishoo.

this Indian side can be bowled but you must have at least 3 bowlers capable of taking wickets

dat wud be edwards, rampaul and bishoo. roach may kick back in at any time. edwards may make it easier for him to do so

This is an edit of my earlier post before the 5th one day game. Given what we have just seen of India batting in jamaica my idea of selecting 3 quicks has been firmed-up. I would consider the following if Sammy wins the toss:

7) Darren Sammy
8) Fidel Edwards
9) Kemar Roach
10) Ravi Rampaul

My idea would be to come hard at the Indian batting lineup in the first session; make early inroads and don't look back. I pick Chanderpaul as I feel he is a much needed stalwart in the batting lineup. Sarwan gets the drop on the basis of his poor form and a need to go all out to with the first test. A bit of a gamble picking 5 batsmen/5 bowlers and a keeper but we have to give ourselves a chance to bowl India out twice.
