for get about average we have regional tournament every year and there are lots of guys who are doing well at this level and never get selected for west indies. in the now concluded 4 day reginal tournament CCC was the most impressive especially there 2 spin bowler ryan austin 9 matches 44 wicket and kavesh kantasingh 9 matches 41 wicket. they take the most wicket in the tournament yet none of them was ever considered in the 15 member squad.BallOil wrote:OK lets go along with you suggestion for a bit here.... What average do you think we should use as an automatic selection based on the last couple series? What average we should use for new selection too?twisted wrote:BallOil wrote:Twisted,
Both Sarwan and Nash are proven performers with good averages at the Test level. Brathwaite, has to prove that he belongs in a Test side. He will get another shot in a couple seasons, he has time on his side.
dravid and ganguly were great batsmen, they were drop because of there under performance. why should west indies keep holding onto a player base on his pass average and what they did. it should be what he is doing at present. for the pass two series or so sarwan and nash havnt really perform.
there is a young wicket keeper batsman from CCC kyle corbin never considered again instead we makes it look like theres only two keeper in the caribbean baugh and ramdin.
we need players who performing and those we think will perform.
