Pollard is an overrated international cricketer....he should not play any ODI fuh de WI...he juss suck!!! That yesterday is his one on twenty flatter to decieve moment....

Lets give the batsman the benefit of the doubt and lets watch a few more innings. Pollard is still young and would prefer having him on the team rather than Sammy.

What here make him deserve the benefit of any doubt?

I beg to disagree with you with Polly in an ODI team before Sammy....Sammy should mek any WI limited overs team currently since Bravo and Polly are stinking up de place more oftern than not recently....

Sammy plays until Russell is ready to tek over de allrounder spot permanently...

Let's compare Sammy and Pollard ODI stats...

Sammy in 62 matches, batting average of 20.30 with a 96.54 SR, bowling (46 wickets) 43.41 average with a econ of 4.52 and SR of 57.5

Pollards in 42 matches, batting avg of 21.10 with a SR of a 100.88, bowling (33 wickets) 32.93 average with a econ of 5.25 and SR of 37.6

Pollard is ahead, no?

Pollard is ahead minimally but he is just as mediocre as Sammy suh yuh can pick yuh poison with anyone of the two....BTW yuh mix shit with shit yuh still get shit....

Elsewhere on the site I have been critical of Sammy's inclusion in the team as a supposed international standard all-rounder. Compared to many other international players with that role Sammy does not really measure up especially given the fact that he is often coming in after the top order has failed.

I have also commented on the fact that his extreme bottom handedness whilst bating appears to be a hindrance. Nonetheless from time-to-time his contributions with the bat are noteworthy. We all wish he could do better more consistently so it is up to the coaches to determine whether there is enough raw ability that can be refined into something of international note.

Neither is his bowling penetrative, say in the mould of of former England all-rounder Freddie Flintoff or South African player Kallis, however on his day he seems to have the knack of getting wickets.

Yes, he is limited insofar as leadership experience is concerned but maybe, just maybe, if he has the passion for the job and is a quick learner and is supported by skilled players who perform then he might be able to do something good for West Indies cricket.

It has been mentioned elsewhere that Sammy was given the captaincy for one year and I am now coming round to the belief that notwithstanding his shortcomings it would appear as if there is something about his 'spirit' that does indeed lend something to the team.

So we have a dilemna: Bravo, Pollard, Sammy. Can West Indies afford to have all three of them in the team?
