Fidel is turning out to be a correct pick, despite his no-balls....

India 69/4 (25.3 ov)

Good session for WI. If they get Dravid and Raina with less that 130 on the board - and India score less than 230 - the selectors would feel good about the team selection.
So, India scored just 16 more than i had hoped for in my lunch time projection but all in all i reckon that WI would have taken 246 all out at the toss of the coin. Well done but definitely rom for improvement. Now for the batsmen to back-up that performance in the field.

Simmons will make runs in ODIs, but just can't get to the half-century mark in Tests....

At least Gayle will make a century - or a triple - now and then.

fidel was a smart pick for sabina. he always does well there.

it wud have been a tragedy and a waste if fidel wasnt brought back into the westindies side. he is the best, most experienced bowlerwe have.

fidel has been through the mill and now, and now dat he has all the skills and smarts of experience, and is ready to enter his most productive phase we must not leave him out.

all things being equal fidel shud harvest at least 100 wickets over the next 3 years.

roach must relax and go back to the drawing board. and when he resurges the westindies must find room for him.

the wicb also handled taylor correctlly if the report I heard is accurate. deh apparently have told Jerome dat deh wont pick him until he demonstrates he is fit for some reasonable duration, by going at least 1 full season free of injury.

that I respect. taylor has been too fragile for eff sakes. for too long he has been breaking down and leaving westindies in a lurch, and Taylor is far to docile for my liking as a fast bowler

I see Simmons more as a T20 and ODI player.
