Yeah "standards" he's FAILED to live up to for over a year and a half!!Googley wrote:you rite, higher standards expected from Shiv!

"You ruled out no-one because of age"? well what the feck is this then?...mapoui wrote:an oppositional intekllectual frame of mind as total as yours appears to be AFRO, is not good at all. I never said or implied anything your response indicates. I ruled out no one because of age, never implied dat a Taibu type impossible anywhere, including the westindies.
SO I'D ADVISE YOU TO READ YOUR OWN POSTS BEFORE YOU MAKE FRIVOLOUS STATEMENTS!!mapoui wrote:age rules out all the young keepers in my book. I will pik none of them until they are seasoned, 25 and beyoond..unless we have an emergency situation.
What "international trend"?I establhised a noticeable and important international trend over the century and more of test cricket, and applied it to westindian cricket almost 85 years of cricket history now.
my point is proven, despite your response, which does not make a whole lot of sense given the actual expeience we have had. and if we do not proceed on experience wat do we proceed on..guesswork?
Ramdin is brilliant with the gloves but his batting declined dramatically which is why he was dropped, Baugh's glove work has improved but again his batting his garbage and i don't believe he is good enough to take us forward,I did not know ramdin played as many as 42 tests. dat amount does not work in his favour. Baugh at 29 is doins his best work. he is playing at his best level, keeping quite well but not up to international standard with the bat. its looks hard for ramdin to get back in..not now for sure.
Well the age factor CAN be ignored because i just debunked it above but as for Corbin!!..well the yute is very talented with the bat and is decent with the gloves too, he's already with the HPC and i hope to see him play for the A-team shortly, if he does well again then i believe he will be very close to making his senior debut.I wud not consider the kids at all. I dont know how old Corbin is but he is the one I favour out of all the potentials. but in any consdieration of keeprs the age factor is solid and cannot be ignored. that is just the way it has worked and keeps working out. buck it at your peril!
wat yu debunked?Well the age factor CAN be ignored because i just debunked it above but as for Corbin!!..
baugh gon give dem heartburn!AFRO wrote:LOL you still flogging your dead horse Map?
I DID DEBUNK YOUR MISLEADING THEORY BECAUSE I PROVIDED THE EVIDENCE THAT SUGGESTS MOST OF THE TOP WICKETKEEPERS AROUND TODAY MADE THEIR DEBUTS AT A YOUNG AGE, if you can't comprehend that then that's your problem, not mine,
Furthermore your attempt to go way back in history IS FUTILE IN THE EXTREME, the game HAS CHANGED NOW, so please stop living in the past and get with reality, if a young keeper puts in top performances in domestic cricket he should be considered like any other player, excluding a keeper due to age is ridiculous, especially if someone like Ramdin and Baugh are failing time and time again for WI.
