the early success of Kirk Edwards and the relative success and potential of Barath and lil Bravo..the continuing solidty of Shive, spells a knell for Chris.

Chris has worn out his welcome. he has been unfairly treated this time but sorta indirectly deserves what he has got.

Chris has played the arse too often, is too subjective and limited intellecutally, and has been heartless in the past when it came to others whom he squeezed..or helped squeeze...like Lara.

and of course a mafia man himself, Beckles was stupid and in-accurate in describing Gayle as a mafia don type.

but Gayle can be a disruptive usually in silly ways, isnt all dat reliable and the team can play without him. he shud have scored more in the wc. I see little reason for that.

both Gayle and sars ought to have contributed more at the WC. I believe the wicb were right in being pissed-off for dat! I was pissed-off. all the fans were pissed-off.

if the issue was the sammy captaincy, deh shud have all gotten together and done something about it.

the wicb administraive-incompetence issue may be joined but I dont believe gayles place will be central to it. Gayle will likely never represent westindies again...as long as idiot Gibbo remains in place. and wat is more the I dont think the fans care one way or the other. I dont!

sknash is gorne...never to return in all likelihood. dat is the most welcome development during the past 5 tests.

we are rid of a leech and an exploiter, holding a pace that shud rightfully go to a regular westindian youth

I may a little too tuff on gayle. if he is selected again I wud also not midn it. and I do not see that this current wicb has any grounds to judge and punish gayle on unduly.

the wicb are far, far worse that Gayle has been. but I have been very disappointed by by Gayles whole intellectual approach to westindies cricket, to his leadership of it.

Gayle shud have paid a lot of attention to the overall westindian apsect of leading the westindies...wat it is overal to lead an international side. he shud have sought advice and brought himself up to speed with what was needed as westindian captain, to stride over the job and the region mindful of the Jamaica interest but concerned with the whole region as well, all the players in the region, their ambitions, goals etc.

had gayle done that he wud never have selected 9 yardies on the side to the excusion of oters in the region who derved selection, or consideration far above players like Findlay and parchment for example.

gayle must have aliented a whole lot of people by that course of action, including players he ultimately had to lead on the field of play, to whom he had unjustly side-lined.

Gayle had a fine opportunity as cappo, to make a difference had he embraced the job fully, gladly, consciously, sought to understand it and to make of it the best he could....to make a westindian place for himself that would be unassailable.. as other legends have done

instead of that gayle played fast and loose with a job as important as westindian captain, talking allkinds of subjective immaturities and confrontatinal nonsense like .." I am man who speaks him mind, stands up for this or dat..."

speak you mind but dont tell us that yu do! know the westindies, know whats awrong and address as sophisticatedly as you can, mindful of not treading where it woukld make things bad or worse.

then he comes out in england where the media is always ready to eat anyone alive for news and talks openly of his contempt for test cricket just before a series he is supposed to lead his side in.

his side fails miserably and we have a defeated, dispirited and miserable team and an dis-interested captain/leader!

all dat established Gayles total subjecivity, narrow subjectivity...unconsciousness of the consequences of what he says and does...a man totally enmeshed in himself, see no outside light and the nature of his relations with the world.

and I dont know if experience matters much in Gayle consciousness, for he speaks in that recent letter to the public in wat seems total unawarness of all he has done to help bring matters to this current pass.

so gayle then, is still very much the limited, subjective berk who opened up his mouth exposing a total dis-interest on his part in his job as westindies captain, and in test cricket period.

well! now he has exactly what he wants...freedom to focus totally on ODI and T20,

were gayle a different sort of chap, a courtney walsh or even lara type I could go bat for him. I simply cant do that for the Gayle I have come to know...save to point out that the wcb is dead wrong on this occassion, and agyle shud have been selected....and dat if deh wanted to drop him they shud have simply done so and built a case for it from the abundance of avalaible evidence they have to make a proper case for Gayles exclusion

sarwan is another who made a lot of trouble for himself and cannot be shielded under any victimisation umbrella.

Sars is an impse, after so many years of playing internationally. by now sars shud be very experienced, advanced and organised, an elder and statesmanlike figure, able to deal with anything that comes his way, to handle people like Gibbo easily, take him in stride without a break and cost to his professional life

instead we have a procession of what seesm lke nonsense from Sars like his australian tour. players do not need to give Gibbo any reason for his nonsense but Sars gave him plenty.

on dat last Oz tour, Sars clearly was on a sabotage bent or kick. then he got injured and was lost to the tour, leaving the side in a lurch for class batting. if dat does not piss-off any manager or coach wat in the hell will?

Sars has a character test in his career now. if he wants to play for the westindies again he has to do the whole 10 yards..10 not 9. he must keep fit, demonstrably so. hen he must score and score fo Guyana, demonstrating skills that is all intelligence. dealing with what is used against him, counterring and attacking in turn.

that has been missing from Sars skill-set, this last rounds here..... a travesty for an experienced batsman
