Chesney Hughes= 20 year old batsman for Derbyshire
Chris Jordan= 22 year old alrounder for Surrey
Kemar Roach= 23 year old pacer for Worcester
Darren Bravo= 22 year old batsman for Nottinghamshire
Ruel Brathwaite= 25 year old pacer for Durham
Maurice Chambers= 24 year old pacer for Essex
Shiv also plays county but i'm focussing on the young talent right now, the list is encouraging and i'm hoping we see more and more follow them to county cricket, this way our best young talent will be learning their craft in a tough environment and also playing more first class cricket in the process, i hope Bishoo, Barath and Russell get a chance aswell, if i had to bet i'd say Bishoo will be the next one to get the call, but it's vital that Darren and Kemar perform so that it encourages more county teams to persue West Indian players.

WTF? Shiv is still a young man. He has another 5-10 years more cricket leff in him if these youngsters you pushing can out bat him.
BTW, Good to see the youngsters getting a knock in county. However, Chesney, Chris , Ruel and Maurice would probably chose England over West Indies.

Doesn't Darren Bravo average more in TESTS than he does in FC cricket right now?BallOil wrote:absolutely! what is the purpose of average then? A 35 average is decent but it is also a gauge how the players will do in international level.
Question for you, how many players average more in Test than FC after 25 or more games?

The fact is Hughes is playing at a good level and already has THREE TONS, and it would have been five by now if his team mates could have held on with him.

Darren had a tough second game for Notts, saw it online, the game kept getting interrupted due to constant rain so instead of it being a 40 over match it went all the way down to a 16 over match, by the time Darren got to the crease his team needed 9 an over, he hit a lovely four with his second shot but after that got a little bogged down, went for a big shot and got caught for 7 runs, i'm sure he'll learn from that though, his team mates seem to like him already and he done well to effect a run out in the field, his team won in the end which is the second victory in a row since Darren joined them,
Darren is playing again today for Nottinghamshire, this will be a three day game so he'll have a good chance to show what he can really do, i hope he impress because it will only benefit WI in the long run, and hopefully it will entice other clubs to sign more WI players, Kemar hasn't played for Worcestershire yet though, i guess he'll play next week.
