look man I am not in support of the wicb. I am dealing now with players! I see all the inconsistencticies...but I am not inconsistent. all I say here I have said previously about Gayle, Sars and others.
sarwan played in Oz and when he did he batted like an ass, throwing his wicket away. that was palpable, obvious to all watching.
then he got injured and westindies in a lurch, no where to turn for batting save the inexperienced Narsing, who did a manful job in replacement.
how can anyone blame Gibson for getting pissed at Sarwan for that!
ok come the Pak/Indian tours and there is doubt about sars place. I did not see that as wrong..but argued that both sars and shive are proven players whom we need so it is better to treat then as the seniors deh are and slect them and forget about it for the entire season.
after the season the wicb would revist their places and decide again.
well shive did his thing and sarwan proved his childishness and was dropped
so wats wrong with that. the wicb satisfied every criteria it ought to have relevent to those 2 players. the wicb cannot be faulted in their case at all

all who doubt my assessment of Sars Oz tour can go back into the film archives of Sars batting and see for themselves.
the way the wicb handled the gayle situation was totally ridiculous and unnecessary..unleashing mout' asshole Hillary beckles to do a propaganda justification hit job on gayle.
if deh wanted to drop gayle say why. but deh were afraid and so deh created maximum chaos to hide their intent to drop gayle regardless.
deh thought their desire to drop gayle unworthy thats why. deh felt deh had ulteriors the public would not buy.
but thats the wicb. for me I established my case long ago. from the minute gayle threatened to resign, handed Hunte his resignation... then to keep gayle as captain Hunte agreed to allow gayle to substitute the jamaica side for the westindies side, gayle lost me. I could never agree to that and with anyone who brought that about. and that was gayle...and hunte who allowed it.
what kind of westindian is it who is prepared to blatantly, openly select players just because deh are from his country,..players like Parchment, the X-man, Findlay for each of whom there were several better probables in the region.
dont you see gayles mind from all that? i can count man other examples of gayles behaviour that demonstrate clearly how he thnks, and it is not westindian in any appreciable or necessary sense that a westindian captain shud demonstrate.shud have

Sars didn't do well in test series, I was just pointing that he was the leading scores in the ODI series.mapoui wrote:wat does that have to do with anything?BallOil wrote:Maps... Sarwan was the leading run scorer in the India/WI ODI series..
he was selected on that basis, played 4 tests and what did he do in those?

deh facting shive..or were facting shive! but shive tok the bulls by the horns and took his place out of their hands.
shive has turned out to be the player with the all-round class, strenght, fortitude, smarts.
if gayle had all that westindies cricket could never have gorne the way it has. if gayle was a good leader in the mould of the former greats he wuld have kept things together, got the best out his weak teams and by now we wud have been on the up.
I am not supporting the wicb. I am just looking at the whole situation and sharing out jackets
