LOL you lot are a bunch of JOKERS!!, we were losing WAY BEFORE he arrived, but since he's come in he's installed a professional environment which encourages hard work and FITNESS, in his first test series he had to play South Africa with a depleted squad, no Barath, no Sarwan, no Roach (for one of the Tests), no Taylor and most of the youngsters like Bishoo, Darren Bravo, Kirk Edwards and Brathwaite wasn't even on the scene yet, we lost 2-0, the next series we went to Sri-lanka and MADE THEM FOLLOW ON, that's the first time we did that to a team FOR 15 YEARS, we managed to draw the series even though everyone expected us to lose it,

Then we played Pak at home who have never won a test series in the caribbean, everyone thought they'd come and roll us over but what happened? we won the first test and if we never let them off the hook in the first innings of the second test when they were 180/8 we would have most likely won that series, then we played THE NUMBER ONE RANKED TEAM and only lost 1-0, in both the Pak and India series "seniors" like Sarwan, Simmons and Nash FAILED US time and time again and still we only lost two out of five tests,

So effectively in the rebuilding stage Gibbo has only lost to the number one (at the time) and two ranked sides in a Test series, also recently we've started winning much more ODI's, summed up by our recently series win against Bangladesh, plus we just went to England with a weakened team AND drew a T20 series,

Blaming Gibbo for Pollard's bad bowling a bad spell IS PURE STUPIDNESS imo, it's the CAPTAIN who chooses what bowlers to rotate, NOT THE COACH,

The man has a vision for the future but some skunts can't handle the fact that some of their "favorites" like Sarwan and Gayle are FINISHED, they would prefer us to watch them proven failures continue to embarrass the great WI shirt just like they did at the world cup ,

So GWAN GIBBO..keep bunning the haters by picking up positive results!!.. when we win this Test series dem will crawl back under dem rocks and not say a word to rhatid!! .

I do find it sad when people are actually glad that West Indies are doing badly, simply because certain Coaches or players of their preference are not picked. The 'i told you so' mentality is not a true definition of a real supporter, but a classic example of allowing biased-politics cloud your judgement and therefore allows you to see what you want to see and conveniently see the negative in anybody you hate. Not very impartial is it?

Besides, it's easy to play the blame-game when things are going wrong. The biggest problem with Cricket in the Caribbean is the WICB and until that personnel changes, we will continue to struggle under a Board that has a oppressive attitude. At this point the results and rankings won't change a great deal until "real" changes are made from the very top.

I dont like gibson because I do not think he has an approach that gives westindies a chance. sammy is the captain of the team and dat fact exemplifies my impression of gibbo and the wicb.

deh want control of the team so deh want their man in...not an alternative but a leader who is dependent on the admin for his place and so must be obedient to factory raod through the coach.

I know that level by those 2 wil not change. dats the way they are so I am not too concerned about them being out of the side. deh do no make much of a positive difference inside it even for their superior ability and experience

if you are sending out a team like Hyatt, Powell, martin etc., with sammy as captain you are taking a great risk against any team in the world..even against zim or kenya.

pollard as batsman anywhere but T20 is at bestis an enigmatic potential

Hyatt is the same fella who opens for the Yardies. he is not very good as far as I know. and he is bound to be weak agains spin. so to Powell.

Barath is not there. no simmons. little experience. how does one approach such a game with yur weakest team on show.

yu have to watch that team, be on top of it. from here my aproach wouldbe to know the conditions we were going to face. I would know my opposition. deh are not beyond fixing the condtions to help them win. deh can win no other way. It is imcumbent on me as coach to know as much as I could at all times about what I was up aganist and to prepare ny team to deal with it.

so I would talk to my players about what to expect and how to respond. the wicket is slow, takes spin means it is doctored by the Bangs for the Bangs. so if yu cant play shots, and if the gprund is wet our approach must be occupation, keeping wickets for a possible late charge if conditions

improve, singles, 2s. patience, care, ticking over every ball if possible for a run or 3.

a single every ball for 50 overs is 300 runs. if we make 200 the game is ours

and that is a huge let down. and the case I made is that after 2 years under gibbo no westindies team he laeds shud let down like that if he has done a job in theinterim...if he is a good coach, instilling professionaism etc.

professiuonalism in the condtions meant the required appraoch to match the condtions by rthe westindies. westindies were no where near anything called professionalism..falling for 61 runs.

Polly bowled really stupidly and no one did anything about it for too long. but that is not the point at all.

the point is that Polly should never have begun bowling that way at those batsmen at all. if you goigping to bring on polly at that stage yu had to have a purpose in mind to which Polly would bowl

and the way Polly bowled could have been anyones purpose..or consistent with the state of the game. very, very far from it! so Polly was doing his own thing then and Polly was brought on just to bowl, for no apparent reason..maybe to eat up overs

my argument is that shud never have happened. Polly sud have know wat to do. and immediately it was seen he was on the wrong track he shud have been made to change or taken off.

I am looking at the thinking behind all this, the reasoning of those who are in charge, plan, purpose, overviews of the task at hand etc. I dont see a great level of sophistication from westindies management. thats what I am saying.
