The HPC is effectively an under 23 team anyway which is why it's great news that they will play in the four day competition from now on, that way young talent who often get left on the sidelines by their team in favor of "senior players" will now get a chance to play first class cricket, it's not just about throwing as many teams in a competition as we can and hoping everything will be fixed, WE HAVE THE TALENT COMING THROUGH NOW, Darren Bravo, Brathwaite, Kirk Edward etc are proving it, and there's much more to come too, it's all about having a little patience.

I also was preaching this for a long time now...I was also lamenting that the WICB should not limit those that born in certain territory to represent that country/island only...For example... every regional team should be able to select the BEST team possible to give them a chance to WIN....I would suggest the following also....TEAMS such as LI,WI or any struggling team should be able to select and compete with quality teams always even if it means recruiting players not selected for their regional team...
This will only increase the Quality and weed out the less talented players plus it force all players to maintain that acceptable standards and know if you don't, someone else will tek you place...

What you have stated is precisely what happened , when England decided to ban our Players . If the people in the WICB had vision and Foresight , they would have realized what was happening . They did not , and to this very day I have seen absolutely no sign that they have seen the Light . Why ?? Because all their actions up to now doesnt not indicate that they realized the impact the ban would have had ; and has on Cricket in the Region.
Let repeat another blatant lack of Vision and Foresight . The WICB still aint realize that the current ICC scheduling Format , is more unhelpful to Our Players than to Players on Teams ranked above our Team who Play Cricket Full Time .
Afro is so freaking dense , he thinks that I am talking about Test Matches , I however I am talking about the highest standard being played in the Domestic Tournaments in those Countries . They play State , County etc Cricket , AND THOSE TOURNAMENTS HAVE A MUCH LONGER DURATION THAN OUR REGIONAL TOPURNAMENTS . IN ADDITION ; THEIR STANDARD ARE HIGHER THAN OURS . THIS IS WHY I FIRMLY BELIEVE THAT OUR PLAYERS MUST HAVE CAMPS OF A DURATION OF AT LEAST 3 WEEKS . To compensate for the fact that they are essentially Part Time Cricketers , and to get them very competitive against Teams ranked above our Team .
The other salient point I have been making is this . WHEN OUR PLAYERS WERE BANNED FROM PLAYING IN ENGLAND ; THEY HAD WORLDWIDE RECOGNITION ; AND PRESTIGE . It was therefore not difficult for the WICB to get Financial Sponsors to have a Regional Pro or Semi Pro League , If neither of those was feasible , then extend the duration of the Regional Tournaments to keep our Players competitiveness active . THE WICB DID ABSOLUTELY NOTHING . This started the decline of Cricket in the Region .
Now this is something the Supporters of the WICB refuse to admit , they would rather obfuscate these Issues by attempting to shoot the Messenger . This is why I have got to the point of Ignoring these Jack Asses ; on the Websites that I air my views . They dont like dealing with the Truth , they prefer instead to go the name calling route , Completely oblivious to the fact that they are being viewed as Jack Asses . It aint my intention to lower myself their level . My only retort to these Idiots is that any foul words they express to me ; I return to them a thousand fold .

Lloyd was one such supporter...he claimed that WI always produced great talents....or something like that. I can't remember the quote. However, he was implying that we didnt need anything else...going along the same road was just good enough.this is something the Supporters of the WICB refuse to admit
Since Lloyd retired he has changed...he lost his marbles along the line somewhere!
Imagine, he who benefited so much by playing in England saw no value in creating our own system so our guys can get the development needed.
