THROWN INTO THE DEEP , AND THEIR GLARING FLAWS ARE BEING EXPOSED AND EXP[LOITED

BY TEAMS .


In my opinion , the reasons why they should attend reputable Cricket Academies , aint Rocket Science , but simple basic commonsense . Our Players play less Cricket than Players on teams that are ranked above our Team . Yes I have stated this many times , but it is the Truth .

The Standard of Cricket in this Region is much lower than that of Countries whose Teams rank above our Team . Yes , I have also stated this before .

Most of the Players on the Teams that are ranked above our Team are Full Time Cricketers ; this stand in stark contrast to most of our Players who are Part Time Cricketers .

Those Teams also ,for many years had the necessary Coaches to help their Players . who apart from that , had their talents harnessed and honed by their Boards , let me cite an example . James Anderson was on the England under 19 eleven team that played a Test Match series against our Players . early in this century . The best batsman in that Series was Devon Smith ; the Best Bowler was Kenroy Peters . Devon Smith at least got to play on the Senior Team , Kenroy Peters has never ever been seriously looked at and remains the Invisible Man . Meanwhile James Anderson's talent was nurtured harnessed and honed ; and he is currently a mainstay on the English Team .

I have no doubt that most of the Players on Teams ranked above our Team attended reputable Cricket Academies ; apart from getting the benefit of having Coaches . For many years the WICB Bluntly refused to give our Players the necessary Coaches . Indelibly etched in my mind is the fact that Ravi Ramphal , yes the same Ramphal , pleaded that the WICB send a bowling Coach to England with the Team on one occasion .

Unfortunately the Lackeys of the WICB on this Forum and elsewhere seem oblivious to these facts . They say nothing regarding the glaring faults of the WICB ; THEY PREFER INSTEAD TO VENT THEIR DISGUT ON THE PLAYERS . They , however can seek solace in the fact that the Pseudo Sports Journalists in the Region are in the same boat with them regarding this and other issues .

The Players on Teams ranked above our Team , play on properly prepared Pitches , the same cannot be said about our Players . WE need to also take note of the fact that the Cricket Boards of those Teams ranked above our Team recognize the fact that progress can only be achieved by having a harmonious working Partnership with their Players . The WICB for whatever reason believes that being Arrogant ; Dictatorial ; Condescending ; Vindictive ; and Confrontational , are the best means of motivating our Players , especially just before they go out to represent US .

I am fully aware that I have stated these things before . however the truth must always be told even if it is done a million times . The gist of ALL of my Posts is this . MONEY WILL HAVE TO BE SPENT IF OUR PLAYERS AND TEAM ARE TO BE THE BEST IN THE WORLD . BECAUSE THERE SIMPLY AINT ANY SHORTCUT TO GET THEM THERE .

Due to the fact that they have all been engaged in Playing Cricket regularly for sometime . The fact that they beat Bangladesh handily bears out the point that I have been saying for quite sometime . Always towards the ends of Tours their performances have been better than at the Start of Tours .

My perspective is that this happens because they are not properly prepared when they go on tours , due to the fact that they are essentially Part Time Players in the Region . When they are not representing us ; the only form of First Class Cricket they participate in are the Regional Tournaments .

As You can see I am not into the habit of particularly denigrating persons , but in his case I will always make an exception , because he always resorts to name calling due to the fact that he cannot rebut what I have stated . Perhaps you could influence him to seek the help of a Doctor for his La Tourette Syndrome , it seems to be get worse than it normally is .

What the Lackeys of the WICB fail to understand the failures of our Players is mainly due to the stubbornness of the WICB in doing what needs to be done to make our Players very competitive . As I have stated many times that will take money , and the onus is on the WICB to do what needs to be done .

I have never heard that the WICB has been precluded from seeking Financial Sponsors . The people in the WICB fail to realize that the more defeats our Team suffers , the harder it will get to seek Financial Support to do what I have proposed .
