nash is not 'white' in the pre-abolition classification, he's mulatto, because he has African blood in his veins....

what ole marse do is one thing! what people skansh and dem to everywhere is to take marse side abd descriminate against blacker people than themselves.
westindian people like sknash and dem took marse side, make they own club, school, partied by themselves, kept all the best jobs for themselves qualified or not. when carnival come they make a band and tie a rope around it to keep blac from jumpin' with the band. deh even make an all-'white' steelband.

I am a trinidadian and grew up there and I know trinidad 'white' racism' to be far worse that actual white racism. trinidad was full of racism in my day... and it probably still is. I will make a list of racisms in trinidad later and post it.

would hooper be happy living among blac' people given the man Hooper, we have known for so long...even if things were as 'good' as they can possibly be among blac people?
it is clear Hooper does like blac people and feels aggrieved and victimised by the westindies and blac westindians. I dont know the intimates of his individual story and he may well have a case. but he cant have a case about fairness in cricket relative to him, for he was given every oportunity to play for the westindies, to lead the side when he was hardly qualified for that position.
to be justified Hoops grievances would have to be of a cause and location elsewhere than in cricket, in the social life into which he was born and formed an integral part of, in growing-up etc. westindian blac social life can be quite traumatic for intelligent and sensitive young westindians of african descent ( PAD...people of African descent)
