Suh Gayle, Bravo and Pollard will not take part in the Caribbean T20 which is a requirement for selection as per the WICB selection policy.
As part of the WICB’s commitment to international cricket, the player must participate in regional cricket when not representing the West Indies.

The quality of regional tournaments is enhanced by the participation of the best players from the region and therefore it is imperative that they make themselves available for selection for the duration of the tournament/competition/series.

Only in exceptional circumstances should the WICB excuse a player from participating in a regional tournament.

However, selectors may consider a player who is available but who has not been selected by his territorial team, unless that player has not been selected because of disciplinary reasons.

Can the West Indies T20 team afford to lose these players with the automatic disqualification for 2011 or will they make an exception?

why not Bally?

based on recent selection policy WICB said they didn't care for talent but discipline and dedication (so they say, anyway).

Thus, if they continue in the same vein these 3 players who refused contracts should be ignored because they didn't qualify!

So the big question is will WICB really walk the talk?

well it is the WICB policy and if they don't adhere to it. what is the purpose of the policy? This will be a good one to watch how the WICB handles it.

What if Trinidad or Jamaica win the tournament. Will these players qualify to represent their country in the Champions League?

I think the wicb will walk their talk and the 3 are out! I look at big Bravos tour of Lanka as indicative of this. he showed little interest in batting or bowling as his stats reveal.

dat non-performance could only have been due to this T2o/contract issue and I am sure it did not pass the attention of Hunte, Hilaire and Gibson.

I doubt Bravo will be considered again on this las' performance here and his refusal of the contrac'.

and Gayle has already opened up the door to his escape...but escape to where?

I saw somewhere that all the IPL players have to go through the wicb to get to play fuh the big money. is is dat going to affect the this big 3 here, Gayle Bravo and Pollard?

anyone....?
