you have to feel sorry for shane shillingford.
hope he has some kind of surgery to straighten his chucking arm.
with shillingford out the door has been open for Devindra Bishoo.
maybe nikita miller will be given a chance.

yeah...tough luck for Shilly... Let's hope that the WICB help him out with remedial work. After all, Coach Gibbo is a bowling specialist eh...
But it will definite open the door for both Miller and Bishoo. Let's see what the selectors come up with for the WC and the upcoming international matches next year.

CricinfoShane Shillingford, the West Indies offspinner, has been suspended from bowling in international cricket after his action was found to be illegal following independent tests in Perth, the ICC has confirmed.
The analysis of Shillingford’s action revealed that his mean elbow extension was 17 degrees, which is above the 15 degrees level of tolerance permitted under the laws.
Shillingford can apply for re-assessment of his action after he has modified it. Should he choose to appeal against the decision, he must lodge written notification with the ICC within 14 days of receiving the report.

amazing that WICB let this young man hang himself like that. this chap has been called before and what was done to help him? anything?
instead they selected him for the test team!
amazing logic by the geniuses that run our our cricket!
that tells me WI admins still goes by the old school thinkng that we got the talents, all we need to put them together. Nothing is done to make them into professionals or give them that competitive edge.

WICB offers full support to Shillingford
What is the plan Hilaire? What do you mean by full support?
wicbThe West Indies Cricket Board will offer full support to Shane Shillingford following his bowling action being deemed to be beyond the allowable limit of the International Cricket Council.
“The WICB has received the report on Shane’s action and will consult with experts and formulate a suitable plan of action and hopefully he can continue his international career in the shortest possible time,” WICB CEO Dr. Ernest Hilaire said.
“The WICB and the Team Management Unit remain confident in his ability to perform at the highest level and see this latest development as a challenge which has been placed before him,” Dr. Hilaire added.
“Shane is a tough cricketer who arrived on the international stage via the difficult route after years of toil on the regional circuit, we have no doubt that he will emerge from this test of his character,” Dr. Hilaire said.
