is there a level playing field...you tell me!
charlie griffith never chucked, was far from pelting. he was huge, very dark, imposing, fast, smart as a cricketer at least and absolutely devasting when on song.
the white world could deal with Hall who is just a white man in blac skin. charlies impression was the opposite..a real blac man, capable, of his own mind, really black and lethal with a ball in his hand.
they could do nothing with him save beat him if they could. and if they did they knew he would be back.
colin croft was like that to an extent although charlies impression, the one he gave, was far more hostile. ball in deh skunt dem white fellas fought back with the only weapons they had..rules, the media, cameras dat lied..created a controversy out of whole cloth to neutralise a dangerous bowler...but DANGEROUS ONLY IN A CRICKET SENSE!
charlie came out to out batsmen. it was you and him and he gave no quarter and asked for none!

Nari Contractor did not help with his pace-fearing self!
why the hell did he not drop himself down the order if he was incapble against real pace!
and Charlie wasnt even bowling out, taking it easy in the barbados tour game!
I mean it was really regrettable he got hit so badly! I will not talk of that situation in blame of anyone at this stage but only of the consequences. both men suffered greatly from that incident.
but charles christopher griffith did not bowl a ball to harm contractor, with no intent at all of attacking the man as a batsman. it was a normal ball, was not a bouncer or anything of the sort.
it was not apparent that griffith and the bajans were bowling that way at all, on the opening morning of that game!

there have always been white pelters who got away with it, especially when they played westindies.
pelting is no thing in test cricket like they make out. it has always been there. but it is those who can and do make the most noise who hide the most trangressions.
if yuh cyar mek yuh own noise, refuse to stand up and fight back, den hide yuh head and mumble in yuh frustrated soup

dat was some idiot wannabe cricket journalist fabricating comes' to rise his name in bacchanal over Ramadin, even if he killed Rams reputation
Ramadin pelt wat...mango in titty when he was a bwoy! ramadhin shied nutten and he is no fool to come now and sully his name talking to some no-name idiot whom ramadin would not even give the time of day.
is Ramadin we talking about, a player with one of the greatest names in the history of the game!
Ram would nto be foolish enpough to dirty his name. and in those days westindian players were obedient bowys. if they werent the white man wud not pick them. when the white westindian was taking westindian team to white countries they would pick only obedient well-behaved 'coloured' bwoys who would do nutten to disrespect their leaders and the westindian game
cricket came with a moral cde that was taken to heart stronger in the westindies than in england where it began. it wasnt crickt to cheat and lie, not to walk when you knew you out. you had to takew things in stride, proffer the stiff upper lip when things did not go your way. suck it up with a smile.
people like Ramadin would rather not play than to have cheated. thats not how they were brought us as good colonials
