so if there is a shortage of skill in westindies cricket what has happened to that flow as the years pass and westindian society changed?

and if such change is recognised what is the wicb doing in recognition to maintain and dvelop the game in the region!?

the fact is that westindies cricket does not feature Sobers, kanhais, Laras, Roberts, Holdings etc anymore. although you argue there is talent Point everybody seem concerned that there isnt talent..enough at least to defeat the world.

you have to have talent to win. proper preparation is a given, required no matter the level of talent you have. wihtout proper preparation you cant bring out the level you actually have.

as I said current reality , based on historical development..analysis of...is always the determinative of current plans and responses, to meet any perceived need.

what is current reality in the westindies, out of its historical development and what can be done to meet all perceived need...for eg., in cricket our subject here!?

is cricket in the westindies, in the complex of opportunity available to westindian youth, attractive and available enough to attract talented youth nowadays..enough of them anyway?

and are all talened westindian youth available to the society to take advantage of opportunity that may exist..in cricket and otherwise?

is tradition, poverty and conjuncted infirmity preventing a decisive quantity of westindian youth, from being available to the society and to theselves to develop their talents, and so affecting negatively westindian posibilities in all that we do..including cricket?

well what can I say?

Mapoui ,

Perhaps I am mistaken , but I am under the impression that You stated that there isnt any Talent in the Region . Now if you never stated that then I apologise My view is that the Lie regarding not having talent was put to rest by Stanford , his Cricket Board & Players .
