ansah: again in the 1929-30 first ever test series against england in the westindies due to the peculiar selection arrangements of those days in the Jamaica test, which was the fourth and final test of that series..a record setting match,...8 Jamaicans played on the westindies side for the westindies. they were: R K Nunes, the Yardie aristocrat, captain, G Gladstone, O C Scott, O C DaCosta, I Barrow, C C Passailaigue, G Headley, F R martin.mapoui wrote:question: Before Chris gayle got the wicb to pick up to 7 Jamaicans on westindies side there were at least 2 other occassions on which more than 5 and up to 7-8 players from 1 territory/nation played on westindies sides.
name the territories!?
also in that series 7 Trinidadians played in the second test at the QPO, 6 Bajans in the first. about 5 Guyanese played in the third at Bourda, when the captaincy passed to the guyanese jefe, M P Fernandes

between 1966 and 1967 on at least 4 ocassions, up to 7 bajans played for the westindies in tests at the same time, in the same team.
these were usually Sobers, Nurse, Hall, Griffith, Holford, Hunte with the of and on inclusion of 2 of David Allan, the keeper, and Peter lashley to complete the 7
