moreAllen Stanford, the American billionaire who invested in cricket in the Caribbean, has been deemed unfit to stand trial on charges of running a $7 billion fraud and needs treatment for a drug addiction, a US judge has ruled.
Stanford is facing charges of fraud, money laundering and obstruction but the court has ruled him incompetent to face trial. He sustained an injury after being attacked in jail in 2009 and has become addicted to the medication he was prescribed for treating depression and anxiety.
"The court finds Stanford is incompetent to stand trial at this time based on his apparent impaired ability to rationally assist his attorneys in preparing his defense," US District Judge David Hittner wrote in his ruling in Houston, Texas.

wat about the english babe who sat in his lap? whose wife was dat again?
my immediate reaction is sympathetic for sandford...seemingly a rogue billionaire who spent his money lavishly and a lot of people benefitted.
of course his 'problem could be a way of getting around his incarceration, ultimatley out his legal predicament entirely. such as he have been known to play 'games'
but still I dont see the man as a dangerous fellow. certainly not of the calibre of danger as a George Soros or a Bill Gates..2 of the most destructive and dangerous men currently existing on planet earth

yu sooprised!?

dat is how westindians are! di'ze how we always lived..live..at least my side of the westindian equation. the fus' ting we learn to do is to look fuh MAN to drink soup from, and to make bobol!

mek ah business, grow something so dat we have fuh tomorrow...buy from we'self, employ we'self... we doh know an' do nutten like dat. all we know is to look fuh the MAN who do dat and have something, so we cyan mek ah place in he fold, from where we cyan drink some of the soup flowing by....or down.. from he groaning board
an' fuh dat supine position we sell out we bredder, sistuh, other relatives and frens, village, town and city, nation. is all man fuh he'self. an he belly bettah be big, stretch, so he cyan drink plenty tuh las' fuh days because he cyar tell wen' soup go flow again.
I see plenty soup drinkers flocking around Indian arrival in power in Titty now. watch Dr Cudjoe an' dem, writin' book an ting', sucking up, accomadating to the Indian power like deh did to British power, to american power, to french power, to any power... as long as there is a power there that have some soup, who cyan make soup....while deh did and do nothing to help up blac power, to make blac soup.
di'ze all westindian soup drinkers cyan do man..suck up. deh cyar buil' nutten and beat dong deh own people wen deh try to build up, to mek soup of their very own.
deh doh like dat. dat threatens deh drinkin' position below de MAN, even if the MAN make de soup in the water he wash he balls in!
