England Lions at lunch: 97/2. Ravi Bopara not out 26, James Hildreth on 6. Anthony Martin 8-4-17-1. Out: Adam Lyth 55, Jimmy Adams 5. Willett takes the other wicket....

CCC struggling @ lunch: 73/5 (28 ovs). Floyd Reifer not out 13. Out: Currency 8, Phillips 19, Ottley 14, Corbin 0, Ramon Reifer 9

Jamaica 27/1 after 10 overs ... Jackson 13, Samuels 5 - of course, Jamaica is an hour's difference, so the match started an hour later.

Further inspection at Guaracara Park at 11:30. But it has just started to rain again. Frustrating for T&T and Barbados.

I find it easier to do this....
Ryan Austin falls as CCC plummet. 122/8. Kevin McLean is not out on 7. Gilford Moore is the new batsman to face the Windward bowlers. CCC: 131/9. Liam Sebastien dispatches Gilford Moore. Last man in is Kavesh Kantasingh. CCC have been dispatched by Windwards for a paltry 131. McLean was the last man out for 8. They only lasted 50.5 overs.

Jamaica 93/4 in the 37th over. Hinds walks to the crease to join Nash (21). Lambert went caught behind for 25 off Bess. Bowling for Guyana Bess has so far taken 2-25.

England Lions: 148/3. Hildreth 32, Taylor 4. They've moved from 97 for 2 at lunch.

Play just about to begin (official start is 2:25pm) between T&T and Barbados at Guaracara Park. Barbados have won the toss at Guaracara Park and they will bat first.

BD XI: Hinds (cpt), Richards, Brathwaite, Edwards, Stoute, Hope, Brooks, Holder , Dowrich, Best, Collins

TT XI: Ramdin (cpt), Simmons, Guillen, Morton, Jason Mohammed, Kanhai, Khan, Dave Mohammed, Emrit, Jaggernauth, Gabriel.

This first round just highlights what's wrong with West Indies cricket....

Jamaica's batting has failed, the CCC have been bowled out, and Barbados are off to a less-than-impressive start.

The best batting, so far, has come from the England Lions. Their batsmen know how to apply themselves....
