wat..it have another round of selection comin up and gayle go get pik in deh?
man..I doh know but gayle is an unruly and 'out of control' element in deh! I doh know if any management at all want any such player in deh business.
deh set up the situation so dat they cyan maintain control of their workers. gayle an dem have to be mindful of the owner-worker relation no matter where deh go!
gayle is ah dreamy, philosophical, hear his own drumbeat kinda fella, who cyan stand up and fight back if any kinda spirit takes him. all dem owners get together to lock him out.
deh did not need any wicb stick to chook dem to do dat. deh could have easily done dat on their own

England's best will always find themselves having to grapple between their domestic season, early international fixtures and the IPL. The West Indians dispute over the unsigned board contracts may be settled by the silence from the entire League towards cricketers from the Caribbean as a whole.

from a WI perspective I guess that is good... But, for Gayle to miss out from this auction it will not look good. I think someone will pick him up tomorrow... Gayle will you runs and bowl a couple of tight overs...
I don't know if this makes it all the more important for Gayle to be available for WI...I don't see how IPL was ever going to make it less important - perhaps Gayle's likely unavailability for more than a week of the tournament made investors drop him like a hot potato.
But why Bravo then? My only conclusions can be either 1) Bravo is not expected to be a regular WI Test team member or 2) CSK, the team which has signed him on has a large number of comparable players - Indian and foreign - in its ranks and can afford to let go of Bravo as required.
It is not important for foreign players to play in the IPL, but if they do wish to play, bung in their names, and sign contracts and take the money that comes along, then they must be available for the period. Especially if they are key players.
One might say, but clauses are there which reduce financial loss to the team in case a player leaves in the middle - key players for a team can upset team strategies and progress by quitting sometime in between and maybe nobody was ready to tak that chance given Gayle isn't going to be around much in 2011. Who cares about 2012 and 2013? When that bridge comes that shall be crossed.
This season's IPL has clearly laid emphasis on young players and only those who will be avaialable for the major part of the tournament to fit in withthe team strategies. If a team has more than one option for a slot, maybe that is willing to risk a quality player for a shorter duration of time. An unknown Christian goes for a lot because perhaps he has the time to play in IPl besides specific skills.
This is not a choice between country and IPL as people have always tried top portray for their own reasons - if at all anybody has been highly specific on this issue, it has been IPL and BCCI which has always made that point clear and emphasized it often enough through various communications, and left regularory powers with respective boards and has even included them financially so that they can monitor the players they are giving NOC's to.
Why people want to create an impression of conflict between IPL and country, only they can answer. Often it has been irresponsible statements by a few players which has fuelled such motivated cunningness.
