Cuffman, a good bowling allrounder who bowls spin could have been Imran Khan or the Carlos Brathwaite's teammate at CCC Nkruma Bonner who was also impressive in the practice match against Pak, like you i have doubts about Russell aswell, although he did show some potential at times in the world cup, Sammy is just a damn nightmare man and he's killing us everytime he steps onto the field!!
, i'm praying he doesn't play in the Tests games, i really am.

Maps... Bravo is leaving after the ODI series.. Where is Ramdin?mapoui wrote:Huckle wrote:Shall we expect an unchanged result as well? Any threat from the Pakistani pace attack in Bim?
well sure! wat other result can we expect
pak pace shud also do better at kensington. but westindies batting is supposed to be capable against pace.
as for the team wat happen to Danza hyatt. he did well this dung heap. and while powell started well he got injured
wen is Bravo leaving for IPL?
I too have carlos brathwaite in mind..for sammy. and to replace Bravo I wud go looking for fidel
and I wud also include kyle corbin. he is a better batsman than baugh and a competent keeper. he is worth a shot now..before baugh, whom I still consider a joke of a player!

I wanted to do this comparison of the averages of Bravo Baugh and Ramdin, mostly to bring myself up to speed on their stats at this time...to try and ferret out a better picture of these players
8 13 1 256 68 21.33
thats Baugh in tests..2 fifties with a highest score of 68!
Ramdin tests
42 73 8 1482 166 22.80 but Ramdin has a big ton and 8 fifties
not much between Baugh and Ramdin at the test level in terms of average
gven the huge disparity in tests played bewteen the 2, maybe we can get an idea of what to expect from baugh in this new run of his..if we admit that ramdin can score big although wasnt scoring much which probably led to his drop.
given the proven international fact that keepers always do better the more they mature, we must expect his best from Baugh now that he is 28..29 in june. he shud be approaching his prime now! so lets see from his FC record what his best might be if he duplicates it:
Baugh FC
77 128 17 3996 158* 36.00 11 18 145 17
Ramdin FC
91 150 20 3831 166* 29.46 8 18 244 24
Bravo FC
97 176 7 5218 197 30.87 8 29 83 0
tests
40 71 1 2200 113 31.42 4527 48.59 3 13
8 13 1 256 68 21.33

Baugh actually is doing better than Ramdin at the first class level. he has scored more runs at a higher average than Ramdin
Ramdin outsrips Baugh in keeping stats by some margin, and has scored better than Baugh at the test level...so far!
Baughs lists only 8 tests and shud he transfer his FC form to tests now as he matures, we should have the steady batting keeper we need.
so ok I have seen enuff. I will hold back on baugh, give him a second chance especially now that all shud be go with him. as long as he is fit now is his time. all is in place for him to excel. best of luck to him!
of course Bravo is a much better batsman than Baugh as the comparison here demonstrates. but that was always a clear fact in the process

stats expose Ramdin to be the better keeper! the batting also appears to be in Ramdins favour, although Baughs FC stats are superior. Ramdin has scored better in the tests he has played than Baughs record.
but Baugh has done enuff at Fc to suggest that as he matures he may do better than he has done in tests previously.
theres enuff to say ok...if they persist with him then lets see what he can do, what we may expct from him given that his time now is optimum for success. all systems are go now for him. he is mature enough now, he is back in at the right time in his career.
alternatively we now know the standards by which to judge him. he must raise his batting average to between 30-35 and maintain it there. and his keeping stats must begin to reflect Ramdin-like consistency or better.
and he must begin to do that now..at 28-almost 29 years of age. there is no more waiting...now is his time to segue into his best which must outstrip Ramdins record of performance

This is madness!
Clearly, it's obvious from the first two ODIs that most of these guys can't play spin - Smith, Edwards, Big Bravo, Sammy. It's also obvious that though Samuels might be ready for a Test debut, he's not ready for ODIs....
It's obvious that this side is missing Sarwan and Shiv, who are two of the best players of spin in the region.
