you are absolutely right above Prince... It's all up to Shiv at the crease. Now is the time for him to focus on his childhood dreams. The Black Prince wrote:Gibson is right!
IT IS UP TO SHIV!
It is up to Shiv to raise his test average to 50+
Check out Shiv's test stats:
IT IS UP TO SHIV TO RIASE HIS TEST AVERAGE TO 50+After 130 tests, Shiv has scored 9126 runs at an average of 49.06 with 22 hundreds and 55 fifties
In the Providence test Shiv scored 27 and 36*---with those scores he raised his average from 48.98 to 49.06
Hopefully Shiv keeps piling up those NOT OUTS.
SHIV'S TEST GOALS:
1. 10,000+ runs
2. 50+ average
Once again, Gibson is right:
IT'S UP TO SHIV.
Shiv mentioned 10,000 runs in both tests and onedayers as his childhood dream. What he did not mention was a 50+ test average.BallOil wrote: you are absolutely right above Prince... It's all up to Shiv at the crease. Now is the time for him to focus on his childhood dreams.
Agreed! Shiv is averaging 54 at the FC level and he can to that 50+ test average. He has to score a bit faster though sometime he gets a bit bogged down. The Black Prince wrote:Shiv mentioned 10,000 runs in both tests and onedayers as his childhood dream. After being discarded in onedayers, Shiv's main focus now should be to join Headley, Sobers, Weekes, Walcott, Richards and Lara in the 50+ test average club.
10,000+ test runs at a 50+ test average is quite impressive----that's the goal Shiv should gun for.
Since January 2010 Shiv's scoring rate in both tests and onedayers has declined significantly.BallOil wrote: Agreed! Shiv is averaging 54 at the FC level and he can to that 50+ test average. He has to score a bit faster though sometime he gets a bit bogged down.
Shiv will get away with his snail like strike rate in tests, but in onedayers he will not.54 runs in 145 balls---37.2 strike rate
27 runs in 83 balls---32.5 strike rate
36* runs in 127 balls---28.3 strike rate
Although Shiv averaged 38.00 in the world cup, his strike rate was a pathetic 50.631 runs(vs SA) in 51 balls---60.7 strike rate
4 runs(vs Ned) in 6 balls---66.6 strike rate
35 runs(vs Ireland) in 62 balls---56.4 strike rate
44* runs(vs Pak) in 106 balls---41.5 strike rate
