so dats wat Sars did yesterday eh. I did not see, leaving soon as simmons threw his wicket away.
s
o sarwan did the same thing eh, I have been busting the chops of all 3 or Sarwan, Simmons and Samuels for not batting thorugh which one of them had to do to ensure westindies got close to 300.

not that it wud have saved westindies for a bowling attack of sammy and Ravi with the new ball, Bishoo and Martin, and Bravo is not going to prevent india from scoring any total westindies manage to make.

but the players ought to carry out their reponsibilites as the professionals they are. Sarwan ought not to be getting out like that period

Totally agree with you!

Then in the 4th ODI: West Indies v India at North Sound, Jun 13, 2011
Last Bat RR Sarwan c Tiwary b Kumar 1 (12b 0x4 0x6) SR: 8.33
Fall of wicket: 12/2 (4.5 ov); Partnership: 9 runs, 3.0 overs, RR: 3.00 (Sarwan 1, Simmons 6).

So what is the point of his continued presence in the team?!

Crazy selection thinking if that really is the rationale! This batting lineup lacks an imposing player who has the ability to assert himself at the crease. Edwards has failed. Hyatt has done even worse. Who next?
And now a spinner comes on! and we know how well the WI batsmen play that style of bowling.

Sarwan has been included in the final playing eleven; so my prediction was incorrect.

...And he has been included in the 13 man squad for the second test against India: West Indies squad : Adrian Barath, Lendl Simmons, Darren Bravo, Ramnaresh Sarwan, Shivnarine Chanderpaul, Marlon Samuels, Carlton Baugh (wk), Darren Sammy (capt), Fidel Edwards, Ravi Rampaul, Devendra Bishoo, Kemar Roach, Kirk Edwards.

Only time will tell whether he will be included in the final 11.
