Seriously, which head coach is needed for WI?

as a matter of fact i wud hire no head coach. I do not see dat they add anything to cricket save confusion, comes' and conflict with the captain.

deh add a layer of bureaucracy that diminshes the role of the cappo which shud be where the buck stops

that is how cricket evolved. it wasnt broke but they fixed it...which means they broke a perfectly good and natural system with the imposition of the head coach in cricket. just ask people like Warne and Pietersen

deh shud have left that ego driven position where it belongs...in soccer and in american major league sports.

no coach for me save at all the technical levels. you want a batting coach have one..bowling ditto, fielding... same. all to report to the cappo.

The fact is beggers can't be choosers, you can't moan about everything that's happening in WI cricket and then turn around and say "i wouldn't want a good manager because he's foreign", how does that make sense?

India's coach for the last three years was a South African, he lead them to a world cup win and the number one ranking in Test cricket, an Australian was incharge of Sri-lanka when they made it to 3rd in the rankings and were very tough to beat at home, and now a man from Zimbabwe has just lead England to the number one ranking and won them the T20 cup, ARE YOU SAYING YOU'D PREFER A POOR WEST INDIAN COACH AND WIN NOTHING RATHER THAN HAVING A FOREIGN COACH AND WIN SOMETHING? if so you're weird man!! .

i know gibbo is Bajan..i know the man from the start as a player to now. I dont see him as the man for the job as I have stated.

wen westindians were thinking independent, and fighting the british for indpendence, we did not want any forrin coach, did not see anything foreign as essential, dependend on our own resources entirely.

on that basis we built 2 world championships and a traditon second to none in the game. and yu say we cant draw on that traditon now to build all dat we need.

What don't you "understand"? FOREIGN COACHES HAVE GUIDED ENGLAND, INDIA AND SRI-LANKA TO THE TOP RECENTLY, that's the point, so why must we handicap ourselves and not consider one just because of some tedious "tradition"? WE HAD FOREIGN COACHES BEFORE, so it's nothing new, but clearly your prejudice mindset is more important than WI winning matches!! ,
