Josh..Kalli did not go due to his contract with queensland ...same issue as Thommo but de WI players wanted him to withdraw from the WI team in support.not completely true. kalli signed with packer. when the icc slapped a illegal ban on players who signed for packer- kalli hurriedly withdrew his contract instead of waiting to see the result of the court case. kalli should have stood his ground there. in the end the court case ruled the ban was illegal.
neverthless the fact is lloyd spoke out many times against the board, selectors and even umpires and did not have to apologize for anything.
