Good to see you on here, SB!
8-)
Do feel free to talk athletics with me when the season starts at the end of the month....

mapuoi makes an interesting point. Gayle had tweeted not so long ago that he was going to take a break from the 'whites' in a cryptic message recently, and now it all makes sense. He knew about the clash between the IPL and the Pakistan tour, and clearly wanted to play in the former over the latter. He now seems to think that the WICB 'pripsed' the IPL that he was unlikely to be available, and that might explain why there was no bid for him.

Given how poorly Bravo played in Sri Lanka, I expected the WI selectors to drop him for the home series against Pakistan in April-May, and that would explain why he's not treated the same way....

IMHO, the WI Test team won't miss Bravo, but Gayle is key....

yes mikesiva. Bravo might have solved the westindian team balance problem with sammy in deh as cappo fuh dem.

there is little difference between Bravo and sammy now in the bowling. and Bravo at 6 effing up the batting when he cant be depened on for at least one score out of 3 times at the crease

so Bravo cyan be dropped, a real batsman piked at #6, Sammy used as bowling all rounder with Benn and 2 genuine paces.... Roach and somebody....hopefully Russell suddenly gels and becomes the man. I love a pacer who cyan bat!

its all well and good to fight the wicb. thats ghey way to go for the wicb must be reformed. but when you fight you must be the program, the alternative, the replacement for the crap you fighting against.

Bravo, Gayle, Sarwan are damm fools who have none, and are in themselves no proper alternative to wicb jackassness. deh jess greedy, want money prereferrably out of someone elses pocket, who went through fire and hell to make it.... and will not let it go jess so, or allow the system they used to get their wealth to be compromised and used to ruin by fools.

they are brutal capitalist thats what they are, their system a dictatorship but the nonsenes of westindian players is not a real challenge to them, of a low simple level really and they are now jess washing them away so like so much flotsam.

contrary to general westindian social need wipa and the players will leave the wicb more entrenched that they met them even if the players get a lil more money now. and in time when the general social ambient changes to the right side of the ideological spectrum, the management will probally take it all back and more anyway

wipa and Dinas, the players are like headless chickens running around today, totally unlike the players of old. they are examples of the how drastically the educational levels have fallen in the westindies.

compare gayle as westindian cappo to worrell in 1960! "does anyone here today understand why they called Worrell the cricket Bolshevik?"

class...Worrell understood society, class relatons, economics...sociology as the study of society. when Worrell foguth and led fights he knew the story from the ground up and the top down and how to play the game all the way through.

Gayle does not have a damm clue and yet he has the biggest mought around. he does not know that the bosees regardless of ethincity and nationality will stick together over the whole world, to protect the thing that they used to come to the party and keeps them dancing.

there are world organisations so the thing is world wide. everwhere players are workers and are exploited. so the owners management are organised together and so the palyers must be as well for they are all in it together

all are involved, integrated in a entity from which they make their livings although in very unequal portions due to the way the relationship of forces internally pans out

there is integration but totally contradictory integration yet the process is totally interdependent.

gayle and dem doh understand dat. deh doh understand one side have an advantage in the interdependence, and cyan set the rules for the process, write the laws, have the police and the courts on their side and can use the state of the nations on any day in their favour.

Gayle doh understand the side of the relationship he is from, represents, is the weaker side as a result, which is why he plans and talks his life openly as he does. in fact he does not even see himself as part of a side, representative of a side in a social equation, that his interest and dat of all the players are the same and that his problems cant be resolved unless thegame is changed fundamentally in terms of ownership, in the direction of the players.

gayle and dem do not understand the evolution of the sport, of life as a whole...how actual physical developments change the game and brings oportunity on the day the players may take advantage of in their battle....and a next day they may have to step back a bit.

gayle does not even know that ultimately the situation will ripen to a point, that is expand to a point at which qualitative change is required and that may mean basic change in how the game is organised, played etc.

that of course is the principle of quantitative change always leading to qualitative change ultimately.......

all these thngs are simple and does not require university degrees to know and understand.

worrells generation knew all this stuff and set us. but we doh know it today and westindies cricket is suffering as a result. management knows it all in thier side and class interest.

ththe ordinary people have become dumbed down

Gayle is questionable, but I don't think they will pay a big sum of money for Lara's personality---they're paying for Action not Personality.
A little cash for appearance, like carrying the water-cart won't be bad tho.

I pissed at Lara fuh declaring fuh the IPL. there are at least 10 reasons why deh wud not pik him and pay him a lot of money...none of them pleasant. and Lara shud have known and anticipated them and not gone at all.

only in Titty and among Titties would Lara have support for a come back at this time. using that support to full advantage Lara shud have played in Trinidad because in the firsty place he wud get pik!

then he would go out and score and score, making his selection an unavoidable must by the skunts up the dots.

by then deh cud not pick up the fone and call anybody advising dem not to pick and pay Lara money.

I hope hunte and hilaire sen' ah cable instead of the fone, so wikileaks cud release it in deh rass! :x :x
