well! no mystery anywhere there. its wat westindies can do in positive response dat may make a difference.

my handicapping reveals that there is little we can so do because our brain-trust is very poor.

that admin has dispirited the side, rendering it unable to harness its individual abilites into a sum greater than its parts, ready and able at all times, to focus and fight back and win.. or push the opposition into desperation.

westindies is going nowhere with such a team and admininstration, even if our players were of higher levels of ability.

the problem starts at the top and poisons all the way down. there is no cure for that poison save to root out the old dying plant, and plant afresh, from the ground up

45.1 Bishoo to Mohammad Hafeez, OUT, Bishoo has got the big wicket. Bowled full and straight, near yorker length on leg stump, Hafeez looks to make room to guide it into the off side. Turns out he makes too much room and misses it. Bowled

45.4
Bishoo to Hammad Azam, OUT, Doesn't matter. Bishoo gets the wicket next ball. Leg break that pitches outside leg, Azam looks for the paddle sweep, doesn't go down on it properly, and ends up lobbing it to short fine
Hammad Azam c Roach b Bishoo 1 (6b 0x4 0x6) SR: 16.66

45.3 Bishoo to Hammad Azam, no run, another return catch dropped. Azam looks to drive this to leg, gets the leading half of the bat, Bishoo doesn't expect the catch, looks to save his face, but the ball doesn't come that fast at him. Grassed

Rampaul and Bishoo the most effective bowlers this series. How more penetrating could be the attack be if Sammy would not have to be 'carried' in the team??? I hope something is sorted out for test series! They finish their spells with the same economy rate of 3.70!

249 needed to win - the highest score in the series so far! There is little precedent that WI will get these runs. Anyway let's see what happens.

Which introduces D/L as another factor into the West Indies chase! If they start losing wickets and fall behind the D/L par score the batting will crumble due to the ongoing problem of poor mental application. Ah well.
