Link
In his last 3 test series, versus Sri Lanka, Pakistan and currently India, Chanderpaul has played in 7 tests. His average is a mediocre 31.33 and his strike rate is a piss poor 30.58
Shiv has faced 922 balls and made only 282 runs in his last 7 tests----that's a strike rate(282/922) of 30.58
THE TIGER HAS BECOME A PU$$Y!
Chanderpaul has become CHOOKA-PAUL
Unless Shiv adds some urgency to his batting---raise his STRIKE RATE-- he is:

Looks like Shiv has fall in line with the WICB demands... lower standards
It looks like since Shiv lost his family he has been mentally shot!
Go and research Shiv's test average and his strike rate in the years he was married to Amy----I believe his average was in the high 50s---and his strike rate was in the mid 40s.
Then research Shiv's average since he and Amy separated.
Listen, maybe I am being too hard on Shiv---he is 37 and at the tail end of his outstanding career----but a 30+ average in the past year is unacceptable.
I WISH HIM WELL!

Patience is, indeed, an admirable trait, especially when the going is rough.
And we all know Shiv has tons of patience, but what he needs to get his batting out of its current funk is FORTITUDE---strength of mind!
FORTITUDE HAS ESCAPED SHIV IN THE PAST 12 MONTHS!
RE: SHIV 446 MESSAGEBOARD
It looks like stevieC and the folks over at Windies Cricket Fever(Shiv 446 message board) have given up on Shiv
WCF's account has been suspended

Shivnarine Chanderpaul had VVS Laxman stumped, his first Test wicket since 2002, as West Indies fought back with quick wickets in Dominica
If Shiv could pull off a miracle and crank out a fifty in the 2nd innings---he'll be around for another series, much to the consternation of Coach Gibson, whom we all know wants all the seniors gone.
Of course, with no proper players to replace the seniors Gibson is in a real quandry.

There's no doubt that Shiv's scores have declined, but we have to remember we're comparing them to the giddy heights he attained in recent years. However, the sad truth is that even when he scores 20s and 30s, he's still one of the best WI batsmen around. If he were to up and retire tomorrow, the WIndies would struggle to make 200. At least with Shiv in the side, they can pass 200!

IS SHIV RISING FROM THE ASHES ?
WI 224/6(day 4)
Chanderpaul 73*
I said above:

WELL, SHIV HAS, INDEED, PULLED OFF THAT MIRACLE AND CRANKED OUT THAT FIFTY.
Congrats to Shiv!
A NOT OUT or a HUNDRED would be a bonus, but Shiv, playing in his 133rd test, most by any West Indian batsman, has earned the right to continue playing for the West Indies.
GIBSON CAN'T DROP THE TIGER NOW!
Gayle dropped; Sars dropped; Dwayne Bravo dropped; Nash dropped; Ramdin dropped; Taylor dropped.
BUT THE OLD TIGER IS STILL HANGING IN THERE.
