My thanks too for merging the topics.

Am adding Alleyne to the list on the basis of the descriptive adjectives 'typically attractive' used by the writer in
this article when talking about the 79 that he made in the match.
Let us see how the rest of the tournament goes for him.

Well that's the end of the first set of games and sadly just like at senior level the SPINNERS seem to be dominating the wickets tally,
Thus far
Larry Edwards= left-arm spinner from Winwards has eight wickets in his two innings
Kavem Hodge= another left-arm spinner from Winwards has seven wickets
Chaim Holder= off spinner got a 7fer
Amir Khan= Leggy got six wickets in his two innings
Donovan Nelson= leggy got six wicket in his two innings
Derone Davis= left arm spinner got 5 wickets
Anthony Adams (Guy) , Gudakesh Moite (Guy) and Jovan Ali (Trin) WHO ARE ALL LEFT-ARM SPINNERS got 4fers for their respective teams.
Rakeem Cornwell= off spinner got a 4fer
It has to be said that the joy that the left-arm spinners are having in this competition is rather disturbing, although to be fair from that list Nelson, Khan, Davis and Hodge all play for the WI u19s, so they have international experience,
Anyway lets look at the pacers!!
Justin Greaves= got a 7fer for Bim
James Mcdonald= has got three or four wickets for Jamaica too
Ramon Senior and Marquino Mindley who are both teammates of Mcdonald also got 2 wickets each,
Obviously it can't be easy for the pacers when the spinners are bagging all the wickets for themselves but at the end of the day the cream always rises to the top and Greaves's spell was top class, the Jamaican pacers have also done well too, what's also encouraging is Greaves is said to be around 6'4 and Mcdonald is a massive 6'6!!, and both are quick, other pacers in the competition such as Ronsfeld Beaton and Kyle Mayers (both WI u19 players plus Beaton plays for the Guyana senior team), Ravendra Persuad and Bronte Bess (who both tore up the last u19 contest) are still around so hopefully they'll get some wickets in the next round,
Lets look at the batters now!!.. the 50 and overs knocks
For Jamaica
Teswayne Creary 77
John Campbell 55
For Trinidad
Akeal Hosein 98
For Guyana
Chanderpaul Hemraj 88
Kwame Crosse 61
For Barbados
Anthony Alleyne 79
Shane Parris 60
Mario Rampersaud 50
Winwards
Dwight Thomas 77
Campbell and Cross are WI u19 players so it's no surprise but Alleyne really did impress and it's to be expected considering he plays for Somerset in England and also the WI u19s team too, but what's encouraging is there are a few new names stepping up like Creary, Parris and Thomas, Hemraj and Hosein are also new and were the most impressive by all accounts,
What i'm hoping for in this competition is to see some serious batting talent step up and make waves, and also the pacers, the spin department is well stacked so for a spinner to impress me they'll have to run through a top order at least three times like Amir Khan and Yannic Cariah did last season, since then they've gone on to play FC cricket, so anything can happen after this competition, Chaim Holder certainly made waves with his 7fer for Bim so i guess he's the one to watch right now.

"What wrong"? well YOU'RE PREDICTING WITH YOUR HEART AND NOT YOUR HEAD THAT'S WHAT'S WRONG!!

, if another team is better than the one you're supporting then what's the point of trying to ignore it with blind faith?

for Guyana yes... have to rally round the yutes... WI is another story, they are predictable so I go with better team. Plus, you have to lose with your best team and WI is not even selecting the best XI. So in effect, they beating themselves up.

Try it, go in-front the mirror and hit yourself.
