What happened in the last ODI was a combination of two things, ONE being that we played most of our reserves like Martin, Powell, Brathwaite etc, and TWO being IT WAS A DEAD RUBBER MATCH, regardless of the pitch if we'd have played the full strengh team we'd have won, FULL STOP, and even we beat India and Pakistan recently in dead rubber ODIs by eight wickets and such, IT DOESN'T REALLY MATTER!!,
this is nonsense and oxymoronish if one is calling for professionalism.
rto accept this and say it is nothing is to hark back to old days when westindies were acolection of playerts who broke apart under pressure and who as soon as deh won something let down completely.
in the old days that was a huge problem which Worrell corrected, Sobers let slip and Looyd reinforced. with Lloyd in particular a series was not done until the last game was finisehd and westindies had to win all games..even if the series was already won.
that is professionalism
