What happened in the last ODI was a combination of two things, ONE being that we played most of our reserves like Martin, Powell, Brathwaite etc, and TWO being IT WAS A DEAD RUBBER MATCH, regardless of the pitch if we'd have played the full strengh team we'd have won, FULL STOP, and even we beat India and Pakistan recently in dead rubber ODIs by eight wickets and such, IT DOESN'T REALLY MATTER!!,

in the old days that was a huge problem which Worrell corrected, Sobers let slip and Looyd reinforced. with Lloyd in particular a series was not done until the last game was finisehd and westindies had to win all games..even if the series was already won.

Gibbo does not know how to work with people..the players. he has created too much unnesccary controversy, treated players poorly, created to much bad blood...when all of it could have been acomplished without all that.

the wicb has the power to establish policy, plans, programs announce them and effect them.

that is reccgnised and accepted by all. they are the authority in our game and dat is accepted by all. so if the wicb ddevelops a plan to phase out the seniors that is legit. there is nothing wrong with that once the plan is whole with stated goals and objectives that involve youth over a period of time.

the wicb announces this plan, answers all questions, addresses all related issues then proceeds.

the players especially the seniors are informed even before the public announcement so ther are treated with respect. deh are not to be dropped but due to all that has gone before and current wicb dissatisfaction with them a new plan has been developed that sees past them and seh will be phased out accordingly.

if they regain form, and establish clearly that they are worthy of places in the interim they will continue to be selected. but at this time looking forward this is what the wicb has in mind.

if the wicb had approached it in such a manner there would have been no problems at all. but Gibbo got angry and started to harrass the seniors. now soemone tell me how professional is that? were gibbo the head coach of england and a similar situation arose how wud he have treated the white players..like he has treated shiv, sars and gayle?
