What is wrong with being a bat for hire? the WI players abandoned West Indies for Packers, no? Gayle is doing what anyone else in his shoes would do..MAXIMIZE his INCOME. Do you think WICB will pay Gayle a pension eh? Its hard for the players to even get pay on time...
The man is a GREADY SKUNT who cares about the IPL more than his country, it's that simple but his "fans" don't seem to get it, they just see him aiming shots at the WICB and think he's got WI's best interest at heart, if he really did HE WOULD WANT TO PLAY FOR THE TEAM, but no, a simple apology is far to much for "king Gayle"...mek him gwan!!, Brathwaite is ready to step in and he a much better Test career than Gayle, i'm certain of that.
Let me ask you something.. Are all the West Indies players payments up to date as yet? Big pu**y, Richards, Holding, Roberts, et all weren't GREEDY when them run gaan and play fuh Paker? The whole lot just abandoned West Indies Cricket just like that fuh moe money... Now Gayle has a chance to maximize his income allyuh jealous? Look gwaan shuh, earn your own money and stop hating the multi-millionaire eh Days of oppressing people are long gone, lets live and let others live too. Gayle is an automatic pick on any WI team at the moment. Gibson on his best day couldn't do that... What a hater! Do you think Gibson has West Indies cricket at heart? If so, he would've made amends with Chris and the other seniors by now... But he is just busy saving his face and plotting how he can stay longer and hiding behing a young team while he fattens his pocket...
I think we have to develop a full and accurate picture of gayle!
in my opinion gayle was/is not a leader of quality in westindies cricket. gayle is not very smart in his cricket, is not very westindian oriented in his outlook... a Yardie first, and in all ways, which led him to hit westindian unity for a loop several times a captain, especially when he substitued the Yardie team for the westindies team
that alone shud have disqualified gayle from leading the westindies. that was a terrible anti- westindian thing for a westindian leader to do.
gayle is a difficult person to deal with. he is differrent, not ordinary or run of the mill as a person. but he is not positively different. his difference really makes him a kind of pain in the arse, never handling anything without controversy, almost always stirring up things in silly ways
the wicb is bad enuff but gayle represents nothing different, he has no program that offers the peole something different for all his oppostional impression. in fact he has no program at all, no world view that we can see that means positive change even for jamaica far less the westindies
when a man like jimmy adams speaks one sees vistas ranging far beyond the limits that are obvious to gayles mind
Gayle does not understand the westindies at all, he does not have a clue why they want to get rid of him now. and he does not, or cannot tie it into his own behaviour all along the way.
I liked gayle early and defended him the first time the wicb went after him. I defend his place in the team now on ability, performance, record, the westindian need for his batting. we need gayle in the team. we do not have anothetr quality opener. I mean Barath is number one and there are still doubts about him.
but gayle is a known quanity and what is know of him in cricket renders him a take it or leave it quantity. I hope he is included again but if gayle never plays for the westindies again I wont cry. I too can take him...or leave him
and by the way! Gaye has every right to max out his earnings. I do not judge him for that or on that. I dont see that gayle can be justifiably called greedy for that...or anti-nationalist.
we dont call the rich greedy for all their crookedness and exploitation of the people. All great fortunes have been achieved in blood, murder, piracy and pillage.
gayle is an ordinary boy who with his cricket talent is earning money that will lift quite a few people out of poverty, aid in bettering where he lives in the westtindies.
instead of hampering gayle in this the wicb shud be clearing his way to earn as much as he can...he and all other westindina players who get the opportunity . all these ordinary boys need the money which comes back to the westindies and helps out.
T20 money earned by westindians is no issue with me save in the positive. its great...and we shud be clearing the way for more of our players to get out and get in and earn as big as they can..and bring it back home.
I judge gayle on what i have seen of him over his career as a personality in the westindian game. the wicb must make like grown men make a decison about gayle and come out with it and stop all this debilitating nonsense going on.
if they feel later on they have to change their decison then grown men can do that too

Where did you get your story from regarding Gayle's injury? Here is Gayle's interview...listen to him carefully and his written statement...
--------------------------------------------------
I'VE LISTENED TO HIS INTERVIEW MANY TIMES AND I'M JUST NOT CONVINCED I'M AFRAID, IT'S HIS WORD AGAINST THEIRS. ORIGINALLY I READ ONLINE THAT HE WAS TO BE SELECTED, BUT HE REPLIED THAT HE WAS UNAVAILABLE. A FEW DAYS LATER HE WAS SCORING RUNS IN THE IPL.
Who is judging the players are not fit? Where are the fitness reports? What requirements the players didn't meet? what happened to Taylor, Fidel, Benn, Sarwan, Ramdin, et al?
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
BEING THE COACH GIBSON HAD CERTAIN DEMANDS REQUIRED FROM THE PLAYERS AND I GET THE IMPRESSION THAT THEY WERE NOT WILLING TO TRY WHATEVER NE W METHODS, GIBSON WANTED TO BRING IN.
Same goes for Gibson..Gayle is a proven player with 40+ average in both Test and ODI. Not to mentioned his T20s exploits on the world stage. What can Gibson teach the likes of Gayle, Chanderpaul, Sarwan, etc all better players than he can ever be. So why sacrificing the seniors for a mediocre club bowling coach in Gibson? Why discard proven player for a failed cricketer and a clueless coach without any track record? A coach tactics that involves bullying and intimation? BTW, I'm not pulling this from thin air but from a credible source, a player.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
SO YOUR POINT OF VIEW IS BASED ON STATS AND STATUS. LAST TIME I CHECKED THE COACH WAS IN CHARGE OF THE WAY THE TEAM PREPARED FOR MATCHES. THE SENIORS MIGHT HAVE ACHIEVED POSITIVE THINGS WITH INDIVIDUAL ACHIEVEMENTS, BUT COLLECTIVELY AS A TEAM THOSE PLAYERS HAVE NOT WON ALOT OF THINGS AND WE'VE BEEN IN THE RELEGATION OF THE RANKINGS FOR AS LONG AS I CAN REMEMBER. GIBSON MIGHT'VE BEEN A AVERAGE PLAYER, BUT THAT DOESN'T MEAN HE HASN'T GOT THE CAPABILITY OF BEING A VERY GOOD COACH. GREG CHAPPELL WAS ONE OF THE ALLTIME GREAT BATSMAN, BUT HIS COACHING METHODS LEFT ALOT TO BE DESIRED. OVER THE YEARS I'VE SEEN MANY WEST INDIES TEAMS FROM THE LATE 90s ONWWARDS WARM-UP IN MATCHES, THEY LOOKED LIKE A BUNCH OF FRIENDS GETTING TOGETHER TO PLAY BEACH CRICKET AND THEIR DECLINE AND RESULTS ILLUSTRATED THAT.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I REMEMBER WHEN MICHAEL HOLDING PUBLICALLY CRITICISED THE PLAYERS OF TODAY FOR BEING GREEDY AND THE FIRST THING I SAID IN OTHER FORUMS IS THAT I HAVE TWO WORDS: 'KERRY PACKER!!'...I SAID HE WAS IN NO POSITION TO MORALISE THIS ISSUE. BUT THE ONE THING I SAY FOR THOSE PLAYERS IS THAT THEY CAME BACK TO BUILD A LEGACY IN WEST INDIES CRICKET, THAT VERY FEW TEAMS IN HISTORY WILL BE ABLE TO REPEAT. AS I SAID BEFORE I HAVE NO ISSUE WITH THE CHOICES GAYLE MAKE, BUT THE INTERESTS OF THE TEAM SHOULD ALWAYS COME BEFORE THE DEMANDS OF ANY INDIVIDUAL WHO WANTS TO BE TREATED LIKE ROYALTY.
Cricket is a team sport and same can be argue about the Great Brian Lara in term of rankings. Actually do you know Lara has a RECORD for the most losses in Test cricket?
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
AND THAT JUST ILLUSTRATES THE POINT I'M MAKING ABOUT WHETHER THE WEST INDIES TEAM REALLY NEEDS CHRIS GAYLE. OF COURSE THE BATTING LINE-UP WOULD BE MUCH STRONGER WITH HIM IN THE LINE-UP, BUT IF HIS ATTITUDE IS DEEMED AS A DISRUPTIVE INFLUENCE, THEN IT'S PROBABLY BEST ALLROUND THAT HE'S NOT THERE AT ALL. HE'S CLEARLY MOVED-ON PROFESSIONALLY AND IT'S OBVIOUS THAT HIS PRIORTIES HAVE CHANGED, SO MAYBE IT'S TIME FOR THE WEST INDIES TO TRY AND MOVE-ON WITHOUT HIM. AS I'VE STATED BEFORE THE TEAM IS NO WORSE THAN WHAT THEY WERE GOING AS FAR BACK TO THE BRIAN LARA ERA, SO IN EFFECT THEY HAVE ABSOLUTELY NOTHING TO LOSE BY STARTING AFRESH WITH A NEW GENERATION OF PLAYERS.

YOU'RE TALKING ABSOLUTE GARBAGE!!..doesn't Pollard go around the world too and make money? but isn't he still playing for WI? so how the feck are people "jealous" of Gayle playing IPL? THE FACT HIS ATTITUDE ALONG WITH PUTTING THE IPL FIRST has cost him his international career, Richards, Holding etc made money yes, BUT THEY GAVE THEIR BEST YEARS TO WI AND MADE US INTO THE GREATEST TEAM IN THE WORLD, what has Gayle done? score a few 300s and FAIL when we needed him most,
Your hate for Gibbo is pure foolishness!!.. since he arrived we've only lost to India and SA in a Test series, two teams who were number one and two when we played them, now he's starting to bring through the youngsters and it's bearing fruit with the likes of Edwards, Bishoo, Rampaul and Darren Bravo doing well, you're just BITTER that your Guyana man Sarwan and Deonarine GOT SHOWN THE DOOR for eating too much and batting poorly!! , he also put Shiv in him place aswell and told him to buck up his ideas after Shiv was SO POOR in 2010!!..
You can make all the excuses you want Balloil but the fact is GIBBO IS HERE TO STAY!!.. so you need to get over it!! .

So i guess i was dreaming when we beat England the other day?
Now do you see why we need to move on from that match?
That was just ONE match, which I was lucky enough to watch. We got brutally hammered in the other match, and we embarrassingly lost today to Bangladesh....
I've yet to see this corner that we've supposed to have turned....
