its all been a nasty and quite unnecessary period in westindies cricket due to the lack of respect demonstrated by gibbo for the seniors.
he shud have handled it professionally as he wud were he still and england coach in an english issue.
and as a proffssional coach, building professionalism in his side at no times sud his team let down. focus, concentration, consistentcy is professionalism. and ANY TEAM HE PUTS ON THE FIELD RESERVES OR NOT THERE MUST NOT BE LETDOWNS WIN OR LOSE.
this is a bad mark on gibbos work. the reserves more than any shud have been gung ho! ready and eager to prove themselves and win promotion into the the team.
to let gibbo get away with this is to make it easier for him to let down again wth not preparing his team properly.
gibbo is coach now I and wish he does a consistent job. but I dont see that he is a man of class and quality capable of raising westindies up the ladder
Gibson's coaching coming to fruition ...

WE AREN'T THE ONLY ONES!!.. like i said before pakistan and india took 3-0 leads in the one day series against us to win the series and then what happened? WE WON THE NEXT TWO MATCHES!!.. so don't talk rubbish like West indies are the only team to lose a rubber match, BECAUSE WE'RE NOT!!mapoui wrote:
this is nonsense and oxymoronish if one is calling for professionalism.
rto accept this and say it is nothing is to hark back to old days when westindies were acolection of playerts who broke apart under pressure and who as soon as deh won something let down completely.
in the old days that was a huge problem which Worrell corrected, Sobers let slip and Looyd reinforced. with Lloyd in particular a series was not done until the last game was finisehd and westindies had to win all games..even if the series was already won.
that is professionalism
