Darren Bravo has a 39 FC average from 19 matches and 29 innings with 3 hundreds and 4 fifties.
Bravo started off impressively on this Sri Lanka tour averaging 100 thus far from 4 innings with 3 fifties.
Is Darren Bravo the real deal and why?

Bravo has more FC cricket under his belt than most westindies great batsmen had in the past. deh would come out, score a few fifties, a couple of tons and bam! they were in.
the key with Bravo is that everyone knew he had plenty talent but he he slowed up between 19 and his full 20th year, to pick up during his last 4-6 Fc games up to this tour. yu could see him run into readiness to move up when he kept scoring powerfully through those games.
who was it westindies played when he swcored 2 tons and lots of big fifties the las' time there?
that was the sign. those scores may not bump up his FC avergaes to more than 40 but that is not necessary. 39 is plenty good at this time and for the player in question. we know he can do much more, as we came to know Ganga or Adams for example could do little more than they already had

There is no question Darren Bravo is the real deal. He has scored 2 fifties(58, 80) in his first 2 test innings and he looks set for a hundred in his 4th test innings(63*).
Darren's brother Dwayne also had a promising start in his test career----he scored his first hundred against South Africa in his 7th test and then in his 8th test he scored another hundred against Australia in Australia. At the end of his 8th test Dwayne averaged 45+
Dwayne Bravo is now playing in his 40th test and averages a disappointing 31.88.
Once complacency doesn't consume Darren Bravo he'll develop into a world class test batsman.
He has had a wonderful start in his test career---it would be great if he could convert his 63*
Shiv Chooka-Paul has guided 5 batsmen(Stuart Williams, Sherwin Campbell, Junior Murray, Brendan Nash, Jerome Taylor), I believe, to their first test hundred----if Chooka-paul stays at the wicket Darren Bravo will be the 6th batsman Chooka-paul has guided to his first hundred.
