So what do you folks think...Has Mr. Excitement Dwayne Bravo become a burden and a liability in the WI test team ?

Let check the numbers---the numbers never lie.
Playing in his 40th test match, Dwayne Bravo has a piss poor batting average of 31.88. He has scored only 3 hundreds and 13 fifties. In his last 32 tests Bravo has scored only 1 hundred.

In the bowling department Bravo has taken 86 wickets at an average of 39.84.

At the #6 batting position Bravo averages a miserable 27.17

Dwayne Bravo is not an asset to the West Indies test squad.

He is clearly an asset in the oneday and T20 WI teams---but a liability and a burden in the test team.

What says you good people ?

Pandit....

Something is wrong with Bravo , he is not happy. He saw the writing on the wall from the morons at Factory road .

This team cannot have Sammy as captain and playing Bravo at the same time , they dont fit . It weakens the team .Bravo is at the stage with the various tourneys in 20/20 around the World today he can make a decent living . Watch the exodus of players thinking his way soon .The Boards have to sign the NOC or face the Courts .

Factory road wants Clappy Sammy as a fielder Clappy Captain , since he is not a bat and a poor bowler in Test cricket. He is suited to the 20/20 format .

Clappy Sammy has to lead from the front .

Panditji...Dwayne is struggling and with as Sammy cappo .. his days might be numbered... There is no way both Bravo and Sammy should play test on the same team. If I have to pick one it will be Bravo cause he is the better player. But the WICB have driven a wedge between the two and they will stick by their man Sammy for better or for worst. Wonder what is the atmosphere in the dressing room like? Anyways, Bravo rejected the contract so he has to deal with the consciences now.

I guess I must take into consideration the human element but I have to go by the standards of professionalism. Bravo is first and foremost a cricketer.

Bravo is where he is because of cricket and his ability to play the game. if he does not play well he will lose it all. in self-interest and professionalism his cricket comes first. so mindful of that Bravo must let nothng deter him from doing his best at all times.

sammy as cappo is only a factor from the first test in this series. Sammy was not a factor in the compilation of those dismal stats for the last while in Bravos career. Bravo is entirely responsible for those and we must hold him sccountable.

such level of performance will not do. will not pay for anyone least of all Bravo. Bravo has no excuse I am afraid. it is either he is good or not good enough for the job. and if he is good enough it means he proves it on the field much more oftent than not.

Bravo has not been proving it. it is time for him to grow up, to make up his mind and do what is riht for himself. that means being excellent in his profession for the good money he is being paid all the times. if he cant do that then being held accountabel he will be reduced or eliminated.

its his job to ensure that does nto happen. if it happens due to poor performane the fault is his. no dasm excuse!

and soembody get that message over to Pollard and Sarwan as well. there is a line that cannot be crossed when it comes to accountability. and that line if paleyr responsibility for their performance regardless. off the field they can follow all the means of portest and oppostion they want to their hearts content. once on the field and acdepting the money they have to be professional.

I tjhought everybody understood that.

big Bravo has been playing the arse. if he gets dropped on what he has been producing the fault is his. i would not sehd a single damm tear!

Yes, the test series with Sri Lanka was ruined by rain, but in the cricket that was played, the Windies matched the hosts in most departments, which is interesting, considering that there's a new captain in Sammy, Sarwan has been left out, and the West Indies were without injured pacers Taylor and Edwards.

Leading run-scorers
1) Gayle (WI) 367
2) Sanga (SL) 228
3) Darren Bravo (WI) 207
4) Nash (WI) 160
5) Samaraweera (SL) 151
6) Paranavitana (SL) 141

Leading batting averages (scored at least 100 runs)
1) Gayle 92
2) Sanga 76
3) Samaraweera 75
4) Darren Bravo 69
5) Nash 53
6) Paranavitana 47

Leading wicket-takers
1) Mendis (SL) 11 wkts
2) Roach (WI) 10 wkts
3) Herath (SL) 7 wkts
4) Shilly (WI) 5 wkts

Winners on the tour
1) Gayle
2) Lil Bravo
3) Nash
4) Roach

Losers on the tour
1) Big Bravo - poor with bat and ball
2) Barath - good half-century, but fell away in the second Test
3) Shiv - average of 31 is poor by his standards
4) Sammy - still needs to do more with bat and ball

Treading water
1) Baugh - okayish with gloves, and averaged 30 with the bat, so deserves another series
2) Smith - good half-century to show he deserves another chance
3) Russell - good start, but landing foot is a problem
4) Shilly - took wickets, but needs to sort out his action
5) Benn - only one wicket on tour, and needs to sort out behaviour

i think Dwayne needs to take a break from the Test team, and do some work with Gibson and Greenidge....

cricket is big Bravos professions! he shoud never falter in this way in his profession

but even so a man can have a bad period in his job. but I think big Bravos suffers from a lil lack of respect for the work he does.
