Guyana Upset
December 28, 2010
Guaracara Park: Guyana slumped to a stunning eight-wicket defeat against a Trinidad and Tobago "A" team in their first match of a four-team T20 Cricket Festival.
The star studded Guyanese side captained by Ramnaresh Sarwan and including West Indies batsman Shivnarine Chanderpaul were rattled by the surprising pace of the "A" team fast bowlers Shannon Gabriel, Rayad Emrit and and were shot out for a paltry 88 in the 20th over.
And although they suffered an easily setback when Tishan Maraj was brilliantly run out.
"Man of the Match" Dwayne Bravo slammed a typical robust 44 to lead his team to a memorable victory.
Bravo featured in a second wicket partnership of 75 runs with Elvin Lewis to sink the Guyanese hopes of victory.
Guyana 88 vs Trinidad and Tobago "A" 91 for two.

A hat-trick by Davendra Bishoo (three for eight from two overs) and an even 50 from Siewnarine Chattergoon led Guyana to a convincing 83-run victory over the Trinidad and Tobago Cricket Board (TTCB) Under-23 Academy team in the third match of the TTCB Twenty20 Cricket Festival at Guaracara Park, Pointe-a-Pierre yesterday.
Bish keep doing his thing..

T&T 'A' TOP TEAM
Rain ruins final day of T20 Festival
Trinidad and Tobago 'A' won the Trinidad and Tobago Cricket Board (TTCB) Twenty20 Festival after their final match against the TTCB Under-23 Academy was washed out at Guaracara Park, Pointe-a-Pierre yesterday.
The result gave T&T 'A' seven points from three matches after they completed a crushing eight-wicket victory over Guyana on the opening night, followed by a tense three-wicket win over the national T20 side on Wednesday night.
'A' team skipper Rayad Emrit collected the first prize of $20,000, while Guyana pocketed the $10,000 runners up purse after their final match against T&T Seniors was called off without a ball being bowled.
