Unsold: Tamim Iqbal, Chamara Kapugedera, Murali Kartik, Ajantha Mendis, Graeme Swann, James Anderson, Dilhara Fernando, Luke Wright, Matt Prior, Mark Boucher, Graeme Manou, Brian Lara, Herschelle Gibbs, Jesse Ryder, Sourav Ganguly and Chris Gayle.

I don't see why they go unsold

This makes it all the more important that gayle is available to play for the West Indies rather than the IPl. Pakistan are ranked sixth in the test rankings, and West Indies seventh, so this is a crucial series, much more crucial than the IPL.

from a WI perspective I guess that is good... But, for Gayle to miss out from this auction it will not look good. I think someone will pick him up tomorrow... Gayle will you runs and bowl a couple of tight overs...

Indian Premier League (IPL) Governing Council member Sushant Roy on Saturday said that they cannot dictate team owners to select any particular player.

Roy’s comment comes on a day where former Indian captain Sourav Ganguly, and former West Indies captains Brian Lara and Chris Gayle went unsold in the first round of the auction held in Bangalore.

Both Ganguly and Gayle were part of the Kolkata Knight Riders in the previous three editions of the tournament.

“I think there is a loss phase, but it is the reality of the game, and it is very competitive format, the choice of the team owners, and we as a IPL governing council or IPL cannot dictate whom they should take or not take,” Roy said.

Gayle's response is disappointing, and shows that, like Bravo and Pollard, he prefers to play in the IPL to wearing West Indian colours....
:?
Personally, I would rather see him playing against Pakistan in April and May to turning out for a 20/20 team in the IPL. I don't think the Test team is going to miss Bravo, who played poorly in Sri Lanka, or Pollard, who's a long way off from making the Test side, but Gayle is a crucial member of that outfit.

man look here! gayle...westindians continue to be stupid and dependent...in expectation that people who own things and command capital must use/employ them and pay them for the priviledge!

gayle like hilaire and hunte minus the hurrricane dat may soon blow!

and if it does all deh baddass, wicb stompings go quail before the Titty dollars, kindness and largess deh go need to even have a chance to get shelter again.

in the meantime is gayle builidng anything at all with the money he already made, that will allow him to command capital one day and to be a position to make decisions on others, as they make descison on his life now?

dat is something westindians love bwoy...to be in position of employment, begging man fuh wuk no matter how high the level of salary. as long as deh in position to get a wuk deh happy. deh never gung ho about owning the damm shop demselves.

well at least hunte and hilaire starting up ah regional T20. I hope deh planning to build it into something real big fuh de americas. if deh do dat, I may forgive dem for all the crap deh have up to now!

I like to bash westindian Africans but we deserve it! all the time Gayle kerrying orn...he doh like tess cfricket, this ting to long, to dis and dat! he gorne! he done! he is captain and he late for the tour. he doh care!

he do anythng he want! he doh have to play tess cricket, he cyan play T20 and make ah mint! eff hunte and hilaire..wicb..westindies cricket.

but look! all depends on if deh hire him in the IPL.

a most useful tool is a telephone. and skunt hunte and hilaire surely know how to use one.

so gayle say he done with tess cricket on facebook or tweets the same. deh pick up the phone and say to the IPL "doh hire him den! eff him! leh him suck sal' "

and presto, we have an uemployed fomer wesindies cappo on his way down and out!

the best laid plans of men and mice..especially when deh plans depends on someone elses' decision. Bravo is the next stupid one to learn. jess watch :x :x :x
