Is Samuels fit to decline selection? What is going on?

What do you make of Samuels' decision to stay and play curry goat? Why is he hesitant to to play for WI?
Isn't this a slap in the WICB face like the player did when they refused to sign the central contracts?

Is Samuels committed to WI cricket?

Where is Mike? I know he was a tad upset when Pollard refused to play on the A team last year to ply his T20 skills for Somerset.

Ask my fren Jahjah if he cares to comment on this...thx....  ( Jahjah scared of Bally ...like ah drunken school master ) :)

the way I read his decline of the invitation it seems to me that he is sincere about his focus on test cricket.

but I dont see why he is not ready for ODI? he knew his ban would be soon over... why wasnt he training all the time?

wasnt he playing club cricket anyway while he was banned at the top. he should havebeen so that he would be fit and ready to step back in at any level

I have to give him credit for being honest with the selectors and fans stating that he is not ready 8-)

Looking at Marlon's Stats.... was he ever ready for the next level? :)

Marlon did the right thing by not going to INDIA to play this WC. Imagine the distractions if he goes there!!

smart move on his part...that shows he is maturing!

That might be so Googs... how do you turn down a WC opportunity? who knows if he will get another shot? Its hard for Marlon to make it back in the Test side at the moment... T20 and ODI yes, and he could have use that opportunity to help his Test comeback

bally,

Marlon turning down the opportunity was actually a blessing in disguise. which batsman they would have dropped to play Samuels?

the logical choice would be Devon! but we all know that would not happen! So why send him to warm the bench? (ps. doan tell me Shiv!) 8-)

WI is actually weak in bowling...so Bishoo might turn out to be blessing in disguise!

WI got 2 real bowlers...Roach and benn.

Sammy /pullhard/rumpaul are all crap! Miller is worse!

They do need a top bowler...lets hope Bishoo can fill the gap nicely.
