Would you take Ottis seriously after attacking the senior batsmen with proven records and yet defend Sammy in the same breath?
Gibson is a puppet coach ....watch him dance to orders .."The captain didn't make runs that he was expected to make but I don't expect to see a change of leadership at all. The decision [to appoint Sammy as captain] was based on decisions other people made. He [Sammy] didn't set out to be captain, he has been made captain and he is doing his best to lead the team."

dats right. it is perfect insanity. you get a coach beholden to the madmen in charge, and to keep his job he has to hold to their lIne of reasoning, which reasoning is insane.
listen to the absolute insanity he, Gibbo, speaks, the totally mad reasoning that passes his lips and his consequent actions....or clear intent to drop he attacks... proven players, while rationalising away the insanity of a player as captain who cant lead and cant play.
it passes the dumb skunt that the play of the team prolly due entirely to the jackass captain on the team, that they are pissed that while the totally useless captain plays, players of rutlilty must .
it escapes gibson that such nasty, incompetent selection, such crazy corruption dispirits the team, kills its energy and renders it the oppostie of a team, all pulling in the same direction. it escapes Gibson that the selection of such a captain is opposed to all logic, all purpose and principle of playing the game, all sanity, all normal organisation of human activity etc...

this is why careerists are so dangerous. Gibbo is a professional, makes his living of a system that is quite insane and yet to keep his job and his living he marries himself so easily to the insanity of the system that is killing the very profession he works in.
that right there is the contradiction of professionalism, of bureaucracy.... why governments and all bureaucratic organisations like corporations turn into the enemy of the very people who pays for them, becomes the peoples enslavers... for they have to get paid. they do not create the wealth from which they are paid. the people who work do that. and so they must make the people slaves, tax away from them what they work for, lying all the time that it is in the puiblcis interest to enslave and tax them to death.
here is Gibson knowign what his bosses want and expressing it clearly for all to see. julian Hunte, Hilaire and the wicb want sammy as captain, the most destructive move ever made by the wicb in amost 90 years of its existence. it is a most backward move, a move that is fit for the 19teenth century not currently when all other nations are moving into an age of scientific cricket, applying the latest physiotherapy, game and player analyses, history of the game, history of the nations in the game, economic trends as it impacts the game, medical and fitness regimes, establishign individual fitness programes that take into acount the minute physical difference between among players..not blanket programes as in the past....
